Even if you buy your ticket online there's no guarantee you'll get a seat on that bus. Make sure you leave plenty of time for the transfers in case you can't get a seat on the one you need. There's a timetable but the staff don't seem to know themselves when the next bus is. However it is very cheap... More

We had a terrible experience with Terravision yesterday! We bought tickets for 2.20 pm coach however were not advised at point of sale that we needed boarding cards and a very rude lady told us we had to get them from the office. We came back 2 minutes later with boarding cards and were told that there are no more... More

For our five day visit to Rome we booked a two way ticket Fiumicino - Termini for two persons. After the Terravision experience on the leg FCO - Termini we ordered gladly at the hotel a taxi for our return journey to the airport. I will only say thay the worst scrummage ever at a Ryanair gate is nothing compared... More

We took the Terravision bus from the airport in Rome on the 16th of November 2015 and our luggage was stolen right out of the bus. There were other passengers who were robbed as well. -When boarding the bus, passengers are not allowed to bring bulky pieces of luggage onto the coach. Any bulky suitcases must be placed in the... The arrival trip was terrible although we did leave early when the bus loaded. No Air condition and no windows so very hot and stifling. Driver insisted on pulling away from stops on second or third gear that caused major shuddering and shaking. Inside of the bus and seats very dirty too. Had to load an load our own baggage... More

I tried to book a ticket at the Terravision office outside Rome Terminus Station. A waste of time due to the inefficient, unworkable, chaotic, and unfriendly system. I eventually found another airport bus operator, although that was only marginally less chaotic. At the Terravision office people were boiling with rage and very upset due to the chaos and unhelpful attitudes... More

Awful people to deal with, no organisation, no information, no bus for hours and when it arrived the chaos to board was like a 3rd world country. NEVER AGAIN. We were so sick of waiting that we got a taxi and wrote it off as a bad experience.

Our party of four made the mistake of pre-paying for our airport transfer between Ciampino Airport to Rome's city center while boarding our flight from Barcelona to Rome. We bought the four passes from uniformed individuals selling "discounted passes" at the boarding gate in Barcelona. Upon arrival we found an enormous line of people waiting - in full sun on... More

Staying in Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Neighborhood Profile
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here. Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its ancient beginnings to its 21st century transformations. Whether it’s those historical playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this neighborhood packs a cultural punch and then some. Screaming scooters, battling buses, crazy cars, and lots of foot traffic converge in the area all day long. By dusk, a different vibe emerges as the neighborhood quiets down. Don't be surprised if you find yourself passing through the Piazza Venezia at least once a day, since it’s the most direct way to get from one side of town to another.
