For me it was the most convenient and the cheapest way to get to the airport. You only have to book the tickets on the website (terravision.eu) 24 hours prior to your transfer, then choose the suitable time and print the tickets. I was travelling from Fiumucino Int. Airport and the road took about 50 minutes, so it's better to... More

Last day August 24, 2015 I had a bad experience with Terravision Ticket Office staff at Rome Termini. Firstly they are extremely rude and completely out of customer care and advisor but, by opposite, very commited joking with their collegues and customers waiting ! Therefore mistakes happen, they sold us the tickets with the incorrect boarding pass, because it is... More

We tried to get an airport bus from Fiumicino airport to city but after queuing at at least two of the counters and not able to get on a bus we decided to get the train - much more comfortable but more expensive. However, we got the bus back and only booked Terravision as we couldn't find the offices for... More

What can I say? Cheap, does what says on tin. But the buses are the old and ramshackle. Suspension so bad on return journey 13 yr old threw up! Thank goodness we had a sick bag!! But did only cost 8 euro return each. Big saving in taxi for 4 of us and 2 cases. You get what you pay... More

I have taken the Terravision airport shuttle several times in different cities in Italy. The main reason is that they are cheap and are the only ones to have frequent buses in remote airports. However, I believe they are really exploiting the kind of monopoly they have. Okay, they are cheap, but please do realize that they absolutely do not... More

I was traveling with 3 other people trough Europe for 6 weeks and we had a flight home to Reykjavik on the 21. of August at 22:30 pm local time. We arrived at 19:15 pm to the Termini train station to take the shuttle bus to Fiumicino airport and had scheduled to take the bus at 19:20 but when we... More

I purchased my tickets on-line (the web-site encourages you to do so + it's 1€ cheaper than buying at the terminal). AFTER I paid for my tickets and received conformation e-mail, indicating that I need to print my ticket. Hmm, I am a tourist without access to a printer (stayed at hostel, not hotel) + in most developed countries in... More

Used this coach service to get from the airport to the centre of Rome in July, 2015. Booked the tickets online and took print out with us. Fairly easy to find at the airport but actually getting on the coach was a little shambolic with a lot of shouting and arm waving by staff, who seemed to spend more time... More

We booked online through Expedia for about $18 R/T for two people prior to arriving, as we didn't want to pay for a taxi or have to deal with figuring out public transport after arriving at FCO. First, there are at least three other companies at the airport with kiosks right next to Terravision that are cheaper or the same... More

Staying in Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Neighborhood Profile
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here. Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its ancient beginnings to its 21st century transformations. Whether it’s those historical playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this neighborhood packs a cultural punch and then some. Screaming scooters, battling buses, crazy cars, and lots of foot traffic converge in the area all day long. By dusk, a different vibe emerges as the neighborhood quiets down. Don't be surprised if you find yourself passing through the Piazza Venezia at least once a day, since it’s the most direct way to get from one side of town to another.
