Thank you Alex for this superb night tour. The 'off the beaten track' attractions were so interesting and just wish we could have stayed for more of your tours. Will have to visit again. Thank you so much. Would recommend to everyone to take advantage of your knowledge of Rome. The Rounds and Rushtons

After spending three days in Rome, on our last day we had the Colosseum planned for the day. We stood in line and was approached by a lady asking if we would like to join a tour. As it was our last day before heading up north Italy, we decided to do it. I think out of the whole trip... More

We paid for a tour of the Colosseum and the Palatine thinking that the Colosseum would be the highlight. It was great, but then we completely lucked out and were met by Alexander for the second part of the tour. He was incredible. I knew a few things about Rome, but Alexander brought it alive, telling us the origins of... More

We lucked into a tour with Alexander, the guide, and it was the best thing that happened in our time in Rome. The tours are incredibly detailed with lots of information but Alexander made the tours. He has an incredible ability to tell a story that is both funny and interesting as well as extremely informative. He was interested to... More

We met Alex by chance as he was standing in for another guide on the Paletino tour that was part of the Colosseum main tour. He was so entertaining and knowledgable that we had to also try his Mystery tour of Rome by night. So glad we did. Really recommend it as it takes you to places you didn't even... More

We too took a Coliseum tour and met with Alex at the Palatine Hill. He was fantastic and truly brought the Forum to life. But that was nothing compared to his "Secrets" tour. So fantastic, but I don't want to say anything to reveal any secrets :) It was a spiritually moving experience for me and my family, brought me... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
