Visited The Vatican in mid-July. Queues were long and off-putting, but besides wanted to be able to understand all of the sights within the Vatican so we decided to take a tour. Did this ad-hoc and our guide was Alberto. He was excellent. He was able to bring all of the art work to life and his knowledge of the... More

We're a family of seven visiting Rome. We did not plan any guided tour to the Vatican. It has been decided only when arrived at St. Peter square. Our guide was Alberto. This guy is amazing. He knows and loves his job very much. This tour of the Vatican museum and the Sistine chapel was really incredible. Thank you Alberto

Having gotten up early to queue for the Vatican Museums and the Basilica we were disappointed to realise that the queues were already crazy. We were approached by a Happy Travel agent in front of the square and though wary at first it was a great decision to go with them! Our guide was Alberto, who knew his art/Italian/catholic history... We went to Happy travel to get our train tickets for our 17 day journey in Europe. Since the best discounts on the website were not in our native language, we figured a local travel agent would be better. We were near the Vatican and found this shop. I think they saved us about 10% over doing it ourselves, and... More

Our experience of this Vatican Tour was terrible. We had decided to do it ourselves then my companion saw the line-up. We were promised the tour was about to start and as usual some fake back and forth about how they would give us a discount price!! 90 minutes later we were still standing in the hot summer sun outside... We were pleased with Happy Travel Tours. You get to skip the long lines and the ticket prices are approximately the same with the tour included so its definitely worth it! We were one of the last tours in the afternoon so we felt we got a pretty good deal. Alberto was our tour guide in the Vatican City. I... More

I'm not sure why Happy Travels gets great ratings. My daughter and I pre-purchased our tickets online in the States. When we went to Rome to take our tour of the Vatican City, we were approached by many people soliciting for us to take their tour. My daughter and I decided to go and check it out. The way it... On the day 2 of our vacation to the eternal city last month, we visited the Vatican. As soon as we got down from the metro station(Ottaviano) we were accosted by a "tour agent". We finally decided to go for a guided tour of the Vatican (with "skip the line") after a bit haggling and negotiations of course. We had... More

The price of the tour is high and the way they address you in the street makes you doubt if it is a scam or not. We decided to go to the office and pay for the guided tour in English. Then we had to wait about 15 min, but we waited seated in the sofas in an air conditioned... More
