Our family rated the tour with Douglas as the highlight of our Italy visit. We went on the Testaccio tour at 9:45am. Highlights were the Testaccio Market including the fresh tomatoes sliced on the spot to prepare insalata caprese and bruschetta, learning about the "real gelato", and the enthusiastic walk around the neighborhood. On first meeting Douglas, we knew he... More

The Small Group Food Tour of Trastevere with Sarah was wonderful! Sarah engaged all of us, including my 13 yr old on this wonderful walk in the neighborhood of Trastevere. We visited several restaurants, wine cellars, sampling cheese and meeting shop owners and locals in the neighborhood. The 4 hours goes by so fast . . . we can't say... More

Went on Taste of Tesaccio with a good group today. Very we'll done, great information, and ample amounts of tasty Italian food. Covered the gambit of food types in a walking tour which included a stop at an outside marketplace. A good value and great for visitors of Rome for the first time and folks who have been here before... More

We began our 4 hour adventure through Trastevere with a glass of Prosecco and Jewish Artichokes and ended with sumptuous gelato. Kate, our guide introduced us to both the foods of Italy and the people behind them. Food is a source of pride and a serious past time for Romans. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Rome! It... More

We enjoyed our Twilight Trastevere Food Tour, which we took in early April. Our guide, Anna, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing the neighborhood and the food with us. We were fortunate that our group had only six guests, which made for a nice sized group. At some of the stops, it would have been difficult with too many... More

The Taste of Testaccio tour was our favorite part of our trip! We took it the last full day we were in Italy and wish we would've taken it the first day we were there!!! Our tour guides Emma and Alexandra were extremely helpful and enthusiastic! The tour was a perfect mesh of culture, history, and of course eating!!!! Being... More

We took the Taste of Testaccio walking tour and had a great time. Douglas, our guide, was attentive, witty and knowledgeable. If you have a few days in Rome, start with the tour. The information will be helpful during the entire stay.

We learned that pre-paid eating tours are dicey at best. While Sarah, our tour guide, is fantastic, with tremendous knowledge of the area, and entertaining as a guide; the selection of food was sometimes great and sometimes disappointing. I know that we passed dozens of excellent eating establishments that would have provided an authentic and delicious main course, in the... More

The Taste of Testaccio tour was the highlight of our time in Rome thanks to our wonderful guide Anna, picture perfect weather, and of course the fabulous food! After a couple days of touring Rome's more famous sights and coping with massive crowds, strolling the neighborhood of Testaccio and learning about the local traditions, customs, and foods was a welcome... Dominico , was our tour guide and what a treat that was. He is American/Italian with a passion for Rome and a rock star vibe. He made sure he remembered everyone's name and included all of us in conversations. We took the morning tour and we were very lucky with the weather and the other travellers in our group, which...
