Our tour guide Dominico was great fun and knew lots about the way the foods are prepared and the local history. We would definitely recommend it!

Such a fun evening and really great food. Everyone gets in on the action of making dinner and it's satisfying when you sit down and eat. Highly recommend.

My friends and I did the daylight Trastevere food tour. We walked around a cute, non-touristy neighborhood and sampled the best foods! Everything was amazing! Some of the freshest and best cheeses I have had in my life. I am a vegetarian and I let them know ahead of time and they catered to my needs! Bonus! We had so... More

Kate took our party of eight, whinch included four teenagers, on this fabulour food walking tour through Trastevere. We went to a variety of diverse restaurants, in a fabulous neighbourhood that didn't feel touristy. We particularily loved BUFF, with their Calabrese products and fresh cheese. Kate was a wonderful guide, who gave us lots of information and history, while keeping... More

Fantastic tour of a great part of Rome. Outside the tourist district where real Italians work, eat, and live. Tour guide was Gi-Gi; a lovely woman from New York who has been in Rome for a few years. Don't think you're being cheated with an American tour guide. She's awesome and really brought the tour to life. The food and... More

A-MAZING! We had the best evening on the 'Twighlight' tour. Our guide was fantastic! She had great personality and plenty of facts & conversation! Every stop was only beaten by the next, they were all so great. Meeting the local owners was a great touch to this tour, and the whole evening had such a relaxed feel despite having a... More

Our tour guide, Gigi, was excellent. She is a NYC transplant that has lived in Rome for 3 years, so she was both easy to understand and knowledgable of Rome. The food was plentiful and there was a bit of walking too to work it off. We did The Taste of Testaccio Food Tour - it was nice to be... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
