Although busy managed to avoid the queues by going in side entrance next to bus stop. Take water it's a long walk around , worth every step.

Awe inspiring and very big! Tremendous feeling of going back in time and breath taking as to what the Roman's achieved with so little resource...apart from the few thousand slaves of course! The Roman Forum & Palatine Hill offer a great perspective of what ancient Rome was like in all its glory. Take a guide, you won't regret it.

My wife and I bought "hopper" passes online ahead of time and avoid the lines. Awesome to see such history in person. If you are heading to Rome, these are a must see. Gets crazy busy around lunch time.

This was amazing and a must-see if in Rome! We paid for tour and it was a great decision (skipped the line and got an in-depth tour of all attractions around the Colosseum).

We fortunately bought a combined ticket at Palatine Hill for the Forum and Colosseum and thus saved a long wait in the queues which were over that way. They are all quite close together and have good transport links. From Palatine Hill walking towards the forum you can also get great pictures of the Colosseum, as you look out from... More

The cues were terrible so we payed for a 'Skip the line' tour which cost 30 euros each. It was worth it!!!

Beautiful!! I went to all these places on a tour. Day and Night Tour..! You shouldn't miss it! Tip: Take a tour, otherwise you'll get stuck in really long lines to enter the Colosseum and other places.

Site is huge. My favorite part (the Forum) you can see large portions of from the street for free. A fairly interesting museum on the Palatine Hill, but disappointing that the two buildings I was most interested in seeing (Casa Augusto and Livia) are special appointment visits only. Base ticket for Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill does not get you in. Also hard... More

The colosseum from the arena was simply breath-taking! If you think seeing the outside is enough, you're soo wrong, when youre inside you feel like youve stepped into the past...amazing!

Of course one can't visit Rome without visiting the Coloseum. Although the queues were not excessive I recommend a guided tour, if you want to see the underground tunnels you should book before you travel as all the slots were full when we tried. Our tour guide Louisa was great and very patient with some elderly USA tourists who were... More
