I have little in my vocabulary to express how breathtaking and mesmerizing it was when I first walked up to the imposing coliseum. Even though it is partly is ruins, when strolling through its halls and gates, you can only image the types of battles that were fought there, For those who love history, this is truly worth the trip.

The Colosseum was probably my favorite of these three locations, but all three offered a glimpse into the past that must be visited to be appreciated. Until this visit, I had a very different idea of what the Roman Forum really was.

Palantine Hill is a very nice, big area near the Colosseum. It is a place that you need to spend at least an hour in, but it's worth it. The monuments are amazing sand fascinating. There are some parts that are more elevated than the others, and those provide beautiful views of the city. Roman Forum is close by and... More

Colosseum had a long queue for ticket. You can avoid waiting time by buying ticket in Palatine Hill or Roman Forum. As the one ticket covers all the three attractions.

A large area to explorefilled with history. The archaeological ruins are simply a sight to behold. The story boards are in Italian nd English for those of us who don't speak or read Italian. Simply overwhelming historically.

The Colosseum is spectacular despite being refurbished. It's steeped in history and you can easily imagine the 50,000 spectators thrill to the sight of armed gladiators hacking each other to death not to mention the wild animals brought in to 'entertain'. In the Middle Ages the Colosseum became a fortress. The Arch of Constantine sits right beside in ancient splendour.... More

Whilst the Colosseum on the outside is awesome it is worth buying a ticket and going in. We arrived early and the queue for tickets was horrendously long so we walked over to the Roman Forum and purchased our tickets there which allowed us to visit the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum over 2 days. I recommend returning at... More
