I visited Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill with 3.5hr tour and it was just great! I booked this tours at DarkRome.com which is to my understanding is affiliated with CityWonders.com I can only say wonderful things about the company, the guides the company uses, and the quality of the tours. Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill experience was fantastic - in Colosseum you see lower and upper... More

We visited the colosseum through a tour group and got to bypass lines waiting to get in. We also visited The Forum and Palatine Hill. Amazing history and architecture. Impossible not to take too many pictures.

What have the Romans ever done for us? :-) Incredible to see these ancient structures. The queues can be terrible. If the ticket queue at The Colosseum is huge, try Palatine Hill. The same ticket covers both venues, virtually no queue when we went to the Palatine Hill ticket office then walked straight back and straight in to the Colisseum.

I finally got to visit the inside of the Colosseum & was not disappointed. Crowds were less in September than the summer months. The forum on my 3rd visit was still as spectacular. Both are close together & are definitely a must see while in Rome.

If you go to the Colosseo dont bother to get an audio guide as thereare just 6 things and you can get that info on Wikipedia. If you do want to get one however and you have a partner dont get the double one as it is €8 just bring some headphones with you. For palatine hill again dont bother... More

Fabulous especial with a local guide. Guide avoids several hours of queuing. They also tell you things you never realised you did not know, and help you understand some of the history.

We spent a half day here and could have spent days! The Forum is spectacular but Palantine Hilll is even better. Make sure you have a guide book that explains the history.

It is well worth getting the audio guide at the Colosseum. We purchased a Roma Pass and so got free entry to all three attractions. Visit the Colosseum early morning to avoid the queues, then onto the Roman Forum and then Palatine Hill in the afternoon, dusk for beautiful views. Next time I would sneak a picnic into Palatine Hill... More

Need to be able to walk it covers a fair amount of ground. Started walking through the public area of the Forum to the Collosseum it was around midday and there were no queues, think most had gone for lunch. The Collosseum is huge and they have made it so that you can understand how it was and how it... More

It is really something to see, all that history. Just watch for the pickpockets...and the roman cenirions trying to get money from you for taking a photo. Enjoy Rome, we did!
