Very interesting to see, glad we went. Don't walk though, it's further than it looks on the Map. Go to San Giovanni on the metro or somehow get to the little bus station on the corner of Piazza di Porta San Giovanni / Via Emanuele Filiberto. We were there April 26, 2008. One thing to remember is that the Catacombs close at noon and reopen at 2pm. We arrived a little after noon and had to wait until 2pm to purchase tickets (6 Euros).
