In 9 hours I managed to see every site worth seeing in Rome and on the outskirts. In the morning you're dashing around the streets of Rome and in the afternoon riding down an ancient Roman road with a solid break in between. It's certainly safe, includes some little gems along the way. Bring extra cash for the trip, get... More

We were travelling as a family of 6 - youngest 14 - and wanted to see a different side of Rome. This was a great option for us. We did the short tour to the catacombs. About 50% of the ride is through Roman traffic and along the Via Appia and into parklands. You do need a certain level of... More

No doubt taking a bike tour is the most efficient way to understand any city. If you try to walk and wonder through the streets of Rome on your own and if you think you are going to see much in 4 hours-you are very wrong. The route of the Red Bicycle was very smart- we cheated the city traffic... More

Musa was a great guide. My family really enjoyed the tour & sites. Musa went out of the way to ensure my 8 year old girl could make the hills. We highly recommend Red Bicycle for your visit to Rome. Thank you from The Klahn Family Cheyenne Wyoming

Our family of 14 took the Appian Way afternoon Tour on July 3. While reading the reviews on here, people sure have different views. We have biked in other cities, but this was the most dangerous tour we had been on. LOTS of cobblestone roads, thin bike tires, NO helmets, and a guide that rode so fast it was hard... More

Musa was our guide on a recent very hot day with my husband and son (11 years). Great fun and a special way to explore the way to the catacombs. Musa was very knowledgeable about the sites and history and took special care to help us navigate our way safely. Equipment was good and staff was super-helpful. Definitely recommend this... More

Our first morning in Rome we toured with Musa, biking through streets of Rome then lovely bike trails by the aqueduct, olive groves and oleander. The catacomb tour was really interesting, and a welcome cool break from the heat. Musa explained the sights and history to us as we went. Stopping for natural mineral water where locals get their ideal... More

We booked the Appian Way, Catacomb and Aquaduct Park tour for the afternoon of June 29th. Musa was our guide - there was 5 in our group - ages - 21 - 72 and another family of 4. This tour gets you outside of the city and into a lovely park and countryside. We made our reservations on line and... More

We booked a bike tour through this company. We chose the the appian way tour (there are several to choose from). Musa was our guide. He was fantastic and the tour was fantastic. He took the time to stop along the way and give us some history on the sites. He explained the aqueducts to us. You don't even have... More

After walking miles each day with 3 kids (13,11,8) we were so glad we booked an opportunity to bike around Rome and see the city. Our group was small, just our 5 and another couple. At first, I was worried about the drivers in the area and the kids biking but our guide was awesome! He took care to make... More

Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
