Having researched a few bike companies to use on our trip to Rome we decided to go with The Red Bicycle Touring Org. One reason was that they offered tours on a Sunday and the other was there great reviews. Having gone ahead and booked for a Sunday we realized that we had to change the date due to work... More

We booked the afternoon tour to see the Appian Way, Aquaducts and Catatombs. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Musa. Great fun, informative and beautiful countryside. Glad we decided to book...a highlight of our trip. Would definitely recommend!!!

It was our silver wedding anniversary so we decided to do something different and we were really glad we did. Glenn our guide for the morning was excellent showing us all of central Rome in one morning with a visit inside the Pantheon and the Jesuit principle church. It was a great way to see everything and make a mental... More

My wife and I went on a weekend break to Rome and we decided an evening tour of the city would be a good way to see the sights. We were right! A really enjoyable experience which takes in most of the major sights, Rome is truly at it's best when lit after sunset. The bike ride itself is for... More

This was a fantastic way to see Rome, in the morning we went all through the city, winding through all the back streets to all the major sights, including The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, Spanish Steps, The Vatican and the river cycle path and lots more and our guide was friendly, helpful and informative. The lunch was great -... More

We have found when visiting a city a cycle tour to be the best way to see the sights rather than the more obvious open top bus tour as you can get right up close to all the attractions, The Red Bicycle tour didn't disappoint. We arrived promptly for our 9.30am start and were all given an appropriate sized bike... More

Whenever we visit a city as a family or a group we always track down a cycle tour as the best way of seeing the sights, so we have tried quite a few. I am happy to say that Glen's tour was up there with the best. The bikes were decent quality and a helmet was offered but not forced.... More

My husband and I took this tour because we wanted to see a lot of Rome in a way that was unique and personal. Red Bicycle made sure that our experience was memorable and fun. Our day began with a short walk from our hotel to The Red Bicycle shop. The shop is conveniently located in the heart of the... More

I was a little apprehensive about a bike tour in the city, having to dodge crazy drivers and tourists alike. Turns out it was easy-peasy! We were able to navigate much of the way on small side streets. My youngest was 10 and I wasn't worried for safety at all. One highlight: I rode a tandem bike with my 14-year... More

We had a good time cycling around Rome with Matteo as our guide. Matteo was nice and covered almost all the destinations that we wished to see. The tour even covered Travestere - generally not covered by any other cycling tour and we passed by the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain. So... More

Now thats real advice! Thanks for your praise and advice on what we could do better. Admittedly, there are plenty of sites to cover and so we have limited time to go into depth on each but it is after all a guided tour and one should expect to have an indepth explanation (if not a personal one!). Anyway, I... More
