We booked the Appian Way tour and had a great trip along the historic road, to the ancient christian catacombs and finally to the aqueducts. Our guide Musa explained the historic details and savely led us through traffic. Without this tour we would have missed this beautiful and quiet area of Rome!

We did the full day tour. We expected the city tour to be in the morning (would make a lot of sense as the saturday afternoon the city is way too crowded) and the apia tour in the afternoon, but when we arrived apparently they had decided to swap the order. We were not informed but found out soon when... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately your guide in the afternoon was kept waiting by another couple who made everyone late. Hence he did not come to pick you up from the restaurant by the said time. My apologies for not responding to your text message as I called the guide instead and was told... More

We loved the Appian Way tour. Bear in mind it is 18 miles or so and the terrain is not the easiest, so this requires some fitness, but it is well worth the effort! Got to see some unique parts of Rome and enjoyed the tour. We would highly recommend making this part of your trip!

We had a great tour that took in areas of Rome we would never have found and want to explore for the future. Bikes were comfortable and the speed was fine for us. Glen was a real pleasure to cycle with and took us around with skill without being over heavy on the history side which we have done several... More

I was a little apprehensive about biking having spent one day in Rome but I was wrong as our guide Musa in the morning looked after us brilliantly . We saw the catacombs , aqueducts and tasted the delicious waters arriving back to the shop in time for a lovely lunch . In the afternoon we cycled around Rome seeing... More

We always start our city trips with a bike tour! The Red Bicycle tour with Greg was really good & my husband & I were lucky enough to be the only ones on that particular tour. Greg adapted the route & timings as I was 6 months pregnant. As well as allowing us to get our bearings in the city... More

Had a fantastic bike tour with Glen through the streets of Rome! We had a chance to see many areas and sights that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Loved hearing facts about Rome and we were never worried about our safety even driving in traffic - anyone can do this and you will love it! We only wish we had... More

Had a great ride along the Appian way yesterday. Musa gave good insights into the history of the road and the aqueducts and entertained with Senegalese songs whilst riding along. A great way to spend a morning and see some of the countryside outside of Rome Very enjoyable

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
