My friend, Susan, and I spent the day enjoying the experiences of "Fabiolous Cooking Day" when we spent a week in Rome last winter. I really loved the "completeness" of it. We were picked up at a central location then traveled about an hour out of town, stopping at local markets to choose the ingredients for the meal on the... More

This was one of our best days in Rome. I did this class with my husband, my brother and sister in law and 8 other people, we all had a great experience. The Chef was Frederico and he had two assistants, Nicolette and "MiniMe" . First we shopped at the local market place buying vegetables meat and cheeses, and wine.... More

We were lucky enough to have Chef Fabio (but we met Chef Fredrico and he was very nice) the shopping that we did was amazing (went to about 6 different... More

We really loved this experience. It was our family of 5 plus another family of 3. We met in the market and went to a butcher, the seafood market, the veggie and fruit market, a dairy/cheese store and learned about the fresh goods in Rome. We then walked to the home on the island near the center of Rome and... More

Fabiolous Cooking Day was truly FABULOUS! Our wonderful Chef Federico took us to the farmers market, butcher and cheese shop to choose our ingredients and then a short walk to an apartment where we spent the rest of the day cooking, eating and drinking delicious wine. Federico and his assistants made the class fun, and casual but instructional as well.... More

What ever you are doing in Rome...move this experience to the top of your list. It is a fabulous five-hour gastronomical hands-on feast! It is everything expressed by reviewers here on Trip Advisor and more. For example, Chef Federico met us across the street from the excavated area where Julius Caesar died. So arrive early to explore before class begins.... More

Wow, what a great experience Fabiolous Cooking Day turned out to be! My partner and I were part of a small group which began the day buying some fresh ingredients from the local markets before heading to a nice apartment to begin our culinary class. Our chef Federico and his assistant Mini were very welcoming and created a very relaxed... More

A trip to the open market, a trip to the local cheese shop, another stop at the local butcher...it was the quintessential Italian morning. After shopping with the chef, our group took a short walk through narrow cobbled streets to the studio apartment for a morning filled with lessons on sauce making, pasta making and a wonderful meal at the... This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Europe. As some one who has wanted to learn classic cuisine from this part of the world for a while, it's just what I was looking for. Chef Federico really knew his stuff and presented cooking techniques in a personable way that made it easy to follow. Also, he explains the... More

Chef Federico Alessandri gave us a wonderful and memorable Italian cooking experience from start to finish. I attended the class with my mom, and we're basically polar opposites when it comes to cooking-- she's fantastic; I have very limited experience, but we both fit right into the atmosphere that Federico created. It didn't matter at all that I could hardly... More
