The Church of Santa Maria in Domnica dates originally from the 5th century. The beautiful apse mosaics date back to the 9th century, and they are spectacular. The church is located on Celio Hill, a little off the beaten path from the most common Roman sites. The church is quiet, serene, and a perfect place for contemplation and prayer. Well... More
