One must visit during day and during the night, completely different but both just amazing. Very romantic to go at night, but also a place to hang out with friends while drinking wine and eating parmesan or grana cheese.

Pretty cool to see it in reality - the fountain we've only seen in movies til now. It was just amazing.

the whole thing was a disappointment-- too crowded, too small, too what have you. I felt that at any minute I could have my purse snatched, and, as a high school teacher, I go on vacation to escape kids, not share one of the glories of Italy with them.

The fountain itself it's gorgeous, like you could sit there and look at it for hours. It's always crowded, though, but it's definitely something you'll want to see everyday when you're in Rome. There's also plenty of good places around to eat and shop and it's not very far from the underground stops Spagna and Barberini.

Gorgeous! In the most random of squares and hard enough to find but once you got there and seen the beautiful statues surrounding the foundation it was magical. Lovely restaurant to the left of the foundation with unbelievable gelato. Bring me back!

Yes it can be very crowded and it was when we were there at 4pm. However the enjoyment is not just in the physical splendour of the fountain but in watching the hordes of tourists, vendors, touts and business in a rather cramped piazza. We passed another day at 8am and the piazza was all but deserted. Pick your time... More

we went there 3times during our stay in Rome.it's close to many attractions around, and the narrow streets will lead you to the Fountain.you can hear the sound of water if concentrate for a wile! the complex of sound, and art, water and stone, power and elegance will help you bear the buzz and crowd.you won't miss this place in Rome surely!

The fountain is a couple hundred yards from the metro station so it is an easy stop. We went up the hill afterward to Hard Rock for a burger that helped to make it enjoyable.

hello! Personally I have been fortunate: I work close to the fountain and I live not very far from it. The Trevi Fountain is a magical place, but if you want to enjoy it, do not go during the day. Better: scientifically avoid daylight hours. There's an incredible crowd, you can not walk, take pictures or enjoy the view. One... More
