We arrived early evening to see it at night and it's all shut off and closed for refurbishment! No prior warning and such a disappointment for us all. Everything else in the city was fab and quite beautiful but this something we were looking forward to. Shame also so many rose sellers trying to make you buy them right by... More

World famous fountains forming the face of an important building from the rome of renaissance period. Beauty is that the building is still used by the government. Drop a coin and enjoy sometime mesmerized by its beauty!!!

July 2014 and the Trevi is covered in scaffolding, they have bulit a walkway where the water used to be, so you can now see the scaffolding close up!!!!! Fortunately I knew about this before we went to Rome so were prepared for the Trevi not being open, however there were many dissapointed people who didn't know about this until... More

We were very unfortunate to be there at that time of the year when the fountain was under some maintenance so we could not actually enjoy the experience. Strangely the area was still crowded with travelers trying to glance through the covers to get a sight of it. One needs to be very cautious when here because its crowded with... More

Unfortunately we didn't get to see the fountain in action as it was completely covered up when we arrived however I have seen photos of it so I am still giving an excellent rating as I know it would have been well a spectacular sight had I been given the chance to see it.

When you walk around the corner and first hear and then see the Trevi Fountain it is one of the most wonderful sights in all of Rome. A good thing is happening as of the summer of 2014, the fountain is being repaired. Unfortunately until it is repaired it is turned off and there is scaffolding in front of it.... More

One of the top things to do in Rome is to look at the amazing architecture of the fountain and to make a wish and fling money in. That isn't possible if it's closed for refurb! Security let small groups of people across the empty fountain but they would rush you along if you stopped for a quick pic. There... More

A little cheesy! But a must see for every one visiting Italy. You must turn around, throw a coin in and make a wish. I was very sad that my daughter recently went to Rome and said it was under construction. You can buy a post card and get the whole picture of it because there is no way people... More

We went there earlier this month. Very disappointed that it was closed with scaffolding. They have a platform but no one could go on it. Honestly however, having been here before, you go to experience the fountain, with it's waters, and the ambiance and people. This would have rated a 5 if it were opened. Before going, check to see...
