The Trevi Fountain is worth a visit, but don't plan on spending too long there. It is very crowded, very noisy, and quite disappointing because of this. You have to admire the fountain sculpture though - it is very beautiful. There are a number of nice wee bars and restaurants close by, and we stopped for a wonderful ice cream... More

The Fontana di Trevi is a must while in Rome, unfortunately all the tourist know it! The fountain itself is very beautiful! The architecture is just amazing but there's so many people all the time! If you want to take a picture of yourself it is a nightmare because there's always someone near to you, it makes it impossible. So... More

Me and my boyfriend went there in the evening, when it was supposed to be all lighted and romantic. Unfortunately it was under renovation and the whole fountain was covered with scaffold. I cannot believe, that they are renovating it during the summer, when thousands of tourists want to visit this famous place. In the fountain there were only coins... More

It was my first visit in Rome and what a disappointment. That's why its hard to rate. The ice cream nearby is delicious.

I know these things need renovation, but it does seem like it keeps being when I'm there. Not sure when it'll complete but go to see and feel the area not see the fountain - 'cos you can't.

The fountain is being renovated, so it's surrounded by scaffolding and there is no running water, so it was very disappointing for my first trip to Rome. On the bright side, I now have an excuse to visit Rome again - and it can't be soon enough.

The trevi fountain was very disappointing. I went during the peak of the tourist season and I was shocked to see the amount of scaffolding covering the famous monument. It was closed for cleaning. I was annoyed that the city would decide to undertake such a large job at such a busy time. It was drained of water and difficult... More

Disappointing. Scaffolding everywhere. Water is drained out. Fenced off. We went in June and the renovations will be going on for many more months. Advoid going there until next year.

It was disappointing that the fountain was closed for refurbishing. I'm glad they are doing needed renovations but is will be closed until summer 2015.
