This is a high quality tour with a small group. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, sites and tour guides and would definitely recommend Walks of Italy to others. The three hours were planned out well and went by very quickly.

Great tour. The small group keeps the guide close and accessible, and, since you are wearing an earpiece you can stray a bit to take photos and still easily hear the guide. Our tour guide, Julietta, was knowledgeable and humorous. She took the time to answer questions and was easily able to talk with our 12- and 16-year-old, but did... More

We took the VIP tour of the Colosseum which included the underground tunnels, the third tier and the Forum and the Palatine Hill. Our guide, Simona, was excellent. Views from the third tier of the Colosseum are spectacular. The tour is expensive but you don't have to wait in the lineups and we learned so much more than on previous... More

We originally booked two tours with this company...the colosseum tour and the catacombs tour. My husband really wanted to see the underground colosseum, but when we booked everything, that particular tour was not available. We checked a few weeks before we came to Italy and saw that it was available, but very limited. I contacted the company via email, and... More

We took the Walks of Italy Pristine Sistine tour on a Monday in October. It was an excellent tour and I highly recommend it. Our guide, Maria, was superb! She was extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable and planned exactly the right amount of time in each area to maximize the experience and minimize the crowds. She brought us into the Raphael rooms... We can highly recommend Walks of Italy, and especially our tour guide, Camilla. Both the VIP Colosseum tour (where you get access to the lower level/floor of the Colosseum, which is very restricted) and the Pristine Sistine tour (where, again, early morning access to an almost empty Sistine Chapel is also extremely restricted) were very informative, and well worth the... Alicia was an excellent guide for our small group of 8. She spoke excellent English and skillfully guided us through the Tapestry room, the Map Room and Sistine Chapel during our 1-hour window from 8 am - 9 am before the general public was admitted. The tour ended @11:15 am at St. Peter's Basilica. An amazing experience, highly recommended.

Dear 1dragonlady, We are so happy to hear you had such a marvelous time on our Pristine Sistine Vatican tour, and that Alessia was able to skilfully guide you through the tapestries, maps and inside the Chapel, giving you the opportunity to enjoy these unique places at their fullest, prior to the arrival of the crowds. We hope you had... More

The tour was led by a very knowledgeable guide, Dave Maki, who made the information understandable and believable. We covered all the sites in 3+ hours and at no time did we feel rushed or unappreciated. He truly brought the history of rome to our attention and made it exciting.

We recently took three tours with Walks of Italy: Pristine Sistine, Pompeii Tour from Rome with Amalfi Coast Drive and the Colosseum. All three tours were excellent. Valentina was our guide for the Pristine Sistine and Anna was our guide in Pompeii, Their knowledge of the venues and the way they conducted the tours really enhanced our experience.
