Having used this company for trips in London and Paris, we decided to use them once again, whilst we were in Rome...HUGE Mistake! The buses were always full and at the colosseum, we ended up waiting for an hour, after not being able to get onto two earlier buses - due to the ineptness of the 'ticket seller', to ensure... More

Paid $20euro for ticket, was told bus would be every 30 minutes at each stop, waited over an hour and it NEVER showed up, had to walk back to souvenir shop to get refund. Avoid at all costs, was very dissapointed, other tours companies seemed to have no problem getting to the stops just fine. If waiting for nothing sound... More

I'm sorry I booked this tour. I was told it would "start right away" and the buses ran "every ten minutes." Unfortunately, the company sold MANY more tickets than there are seats on the bus and I waited more than an hour before I was told I could get on one with standing room only. When questioned, the attendant at... More

This was our first time in Rome and weren't sure of the best way to get about the city so decided to use the hop on hop off bus as we used this bus in Paris and it was excellent however we had a totally different experience in Rome. The bus is very slow, you can sit in traffic for... More

We were booking a 48h trip - 28 Euro per person. On Saturday afternoon more than 20 person were waiting at Station No7 - for more than 45 minutes. The only comment on the timeable for special days was for Sunday and Holiday. But in the middle of the map was a yellow speech ballon like an advertising for any... More

This is the most advertised hop on / off bus in Rome. The staff are rude and the buses infrequent. Having said that, as it is a worthwhile thing to do, especially with tired kids, I would recommend heading to your closest stop and buying your tickets from the first bus company that arrives (they all follow the same route).... We did the City Sightseeing Rome during a European holiday and although it took us to many sights, the audio commentary was brief and crackling. It even cut off part way through some descriptions, although my ears were relieved at not having to strain through the ear piercing noise on the playback. Use the bus to get an idea of... More

The hop on hop off bus is a great way of getting around rome, we where able to get to every attraction without getting lost. We paid 25 euros for 48 hours which is really cheap, bus runs every 20 minutes and the tour is very informative.

After reading various reviews, I wanted to say we used this City Sightseeing Bus with a 48 hour family ticket in April 2014, and we found it a great service. Lots of buses, nice polite drivers and ticket issuers - a very good service and we would recommend it. Just one comment in general - It would be helpful if... More

We bought our 48-hour ticket from the member of staff working the Vatican stop. He seemed very well-organised and did a good job of controlling the queue. This initial good impression unfortunately didn't last long. In general the buses were few and far between, were already full when they turned up or only had a couple of downstairs seats available. Particularly... More
