The map handed out to you does not correlate with the actual route. Same tune played in earphones during all wasted time between explanations. Not all earphone outlets work. Explanations are short and silly. No in-depth explanations. Not enough stops along the way. 20 euros is way too much for such a shallow tour. Not for people who are actually... More

As we were on a quick city break in Rome and wanted to see as much as possible we bought tickets for the hop on hop off bus (there are several available but this is the cheapest one). We opted for the 48 hour ticket which was €28. The tour is very informative as normal with these buses. Handy way... More

Have done some City Sightseeing Tours in other cities around the globe, but this was the worst of them all. You DO tour the beautiful sights of Rome, but expect 5 to 10 minute stops at each stop; then, if you're at Termini (where Terminal for Bus Routes A & B, meet) expect to wait another 30 to 40 minutes... Highly recommend the Hop on Hop off bus, can buy a daily ticket or pay more for a longer ticket. You get a map with the bus route and just get off and on where you please, all stops clearly marked.

I went online to buy a ticket for the City Sightseeing Rome ("CSR") Tour, and it was too late to get the combined Tour and "Skip the Line" Colosseum Ticket for Euro 47 per person. So, I opted to buy the ticket before I boarded the bus. I received the map from CSR that showed the combined ticket for the... More

Whenever we go abroad we always like to take the hop on hop off bus tours, as they are a great way of seeing a city. We did the same in Rome, but the experience was a bit disappointing. This firm seemed to be really busy, but that was their downfall. Often it was hard to get on a bus,... More

Bought a 2 day ticket and yes, it is a way to get round Rome, but it seems to miss quite a few important places, with the Pantheon being a notable omission. The stops at the bus station are too long with nothing to see, and some of the headphone sockets didn't work. Even the ones that did were quiet... More

It seems that only people complaining write reviews on this service. The tour it definitely the best way to get orientated in the city. City-sightseeing Rome are obviously the biggest operators in the city and therefore tend to be full. However I can say that the staff were helpful and also offer sale of tours (Vatican Museum and Colosseum) on... More

Dear Customer, thank you a lot for your review. We are really happy to read that you enjoyed our bus tour and our new commentary!! Yes, you are right. City Sightseeing is the biggest operator in Rome at the moment, more than 2 000 people choose our company every day that’s why sometimes our buses are full but we are... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
