We had an excellent tour of 2 excavation sites within the city. Phillip did a great job of tailoring the tour to our interests of history and architecture. His extensive background was obvious as he took us thru theories of how certain events may have played out in ancient Rome. Well worth our time and the cost.

Our guide Janet, an American and long time resident of Rome, was excellent and it was especially interesting to hear her compare and contrast the two cultures. The small group (6 max) format is ideal. We also did a private tour (different itinerary, different company) for considerably more money and it was not as good as our Context tour.

We took two tours with Context. One to Tivoli (Hadrian's Villa & Ville d'Este) with Theresa and another to the Vatican with Vannella. Both guides were expert and interesting.
