Taking the positive first: The bus driver and the guide were nice. And then the negative. We wanted to see Pompeii when we were in Italy. The hotel helped us find this day trip. It looked nice, 3-hour drive each way, a small stop in Naples (we thought) and lunch (food you'd need), after that it should be plenty of... More

Took the Green Line tour day trip from Rome to Capri. A nice driver picked us up promptly as planned at our hotel and took us to where the bus was. We drove the bus down to Capri stopping halfway. This stop was unnecessary. We should have just gotten there. The lady tour guide literally talked the entire way down... More

You pay for what you get. It's a cheap way to see the city but keep your expectations low. On the plus side, the tour bus will take you to points of interests. On the negative side, be prepared to find some of them yourself as they don't drop you offf exactly at the point of the attraction. Don't believe... More

We took tour with them recommended and booked by Ahmedabad Swiss tours. We were late by 10 minutes at their departure point due to walking problem to one member of our group. They do not listen and they went away in front of me even after my continuous request to them about our problem. Filling like beager after paying full... More

GREEN LINE TOURS in Rome, Italy, is the worst tour company I've ever been unfortunate enough to hire. To be honest, I was disappointed with this trip almost from the very beginning. It was supposed to be a cultural trip to see Naples and the archeological site at Pompeii but seemed to be more a sham to bring a captive... More

WORSE THAN TERRIBLE!!!!!! When I saw the low rating for this company - 2.5 I was concerned but our hotel said they had a good Vatican tour that many people enjoy. So my sister & I signed up. Would have given them an 8 rating until the end - now they get a ZERO. The tour was good, not to... More

The advertising said they'll pick you up from your hotel, however after many attempts to get a confirmation with no answer to my emails they told me the day before my trip that they would not pick us up and to show up to their office at 7am. The office staff was rude when we got there and told us... More

long lines to get on in the middle of the day. Wifi on ANY of the buses never worked. Some drivers are arrogant, others are very nice & respectful. some of the plugin dialogue transmitters wouldn't change the channel to the language you required. one of the buses has an irritating advertising on the side of the lower deck so... One person has booked with them tour with dinner and prepaid it and when they came to know that... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
