We took the open top tour of Rome in order to orientate ourselves and get an overview of the city. This is a tactic we have used to good effect many times in a variety of places, but this was less than satisfactory. We did not hop off, since we know it can be difficult to get back on, but... More

Would not recommend this company!! We waited in line for an hour at the bus termini to get on to our first bus and still were not any closer to making it on! They say the buses come every 10 minutes but they definitely don't and when they finally come they let about 6 people on at a time. In... More

We used these guys because they were cheaper than the rest for a two day pass which included lunch at hard rock cafe rome. Much cheaper to book online, but beware you need to be able to print the email to show when boarding. Recorded tour guide was average quality.. buses get very full

We purchased tickets on Greenline hop on hop off bus while in Rome We consider this company in particular did not have enough buses and like all similar hop on hop off in Rome did not have enough stops In particular the start of the tour from Termini in the morning required a wait of nearly 40 minutes as several... We booked with GTL after being told about free wifi on board and frequent buses coming every 10 minutes. We finally got on at Termini station after standing in line for an hour. In the span if that 1 hour wait, only 3 buses came. Averaging once every 20 minutes. Of course, the line was so long that we couldn't... More

Our Vatican Tour with Green Line Tours was fantastic. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgable of so many aspects of the history of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. His enthusiasm showed us that he loved the history and was proud to giving us his knowledge with so much passion.

We were in Rome for just two days so decided it might be a good idea to buy a two day ticket on a hop on/off bus operator for the duration- might be a fairly cheap way to get around the city as well as getting to know more about it. Just as we stepped out of our hotel, we... More

This was a Viator product run by Green Line Tours and was a big waste of money. The guide was poor at best, the guided portion of the tour was minimal and the included lunch was some pasta (not bad) and a few slices of very think pork with beans! Felt like they had opened a can of Campbell's. This... More

I wish I went with my gut and the reviews on here instead of my conceigre's recommendation. Booked the Vatican tour. Picked up at our hotel at 1:15. Finally leave for Vatican at 2:45. Tour guide was impossible to understand most of the tour. She rushed us through everything, yet then wasted over an hour at gift shop. There is... More

I had originally booked through my hotel conceigre, but was going to cancel after reading tripadvisor reviews. My conceigre insisted it would be worth it. What a waste. The Vatican tour was such a waste of money. The group was bigger than advertised. The guide was inaudible a majority of the time and rushed through the entire tour. (But wasted... More
