We signed up for Rome Connection’s two-day Imperial Rome tour. Day 1 with Lydia included Santa Maria Maggiore which was right around the corner from our flat, St. John Lateran, St. Peter in Chains (horned Moses), Colosseum, Forum, Catacombs, Altare della Patria (outside), Circus Maximus, St. Paul’s (inside and out), Pyramid of Cestius. Lydia did a great job of teaching... More

My girlfriend and i just took the catacombs and crypt tour with Leonardo and it was amazing! He really knew the history and was very informative. He answered all the questions we had. He even gave us details about the city as we drove through it and offered to show us places we would have otherwise missed. When we ended... More

My daughter and I just returned from a few wonderful weeks in Europe ending in Rome. Because it's such a huge city we decided to splurge a little and hired Marco Tavola as our personal tour guide - it was the best decision we could have made! Marco loves his city and loves sharing his wealth of knowledge. We went... More

Our family had such a wonderful day in Rome with Marco last year, we couldn't wait to get back for another TWO days with him this year. Your day will begin when he arrives promptly to pick you up in his Mercedes van and whisks you through the streets of Rome, giving you background on both the history and current... More

We arrived in Rome 7/13 and started our 2 day Imperial Rome tour on 7/14 with Georgia. Georgia is young but has an amazing passion for her home city/country and is very knowledgable about Rome's history. Let's start with the cost. 950 Euro for 2 people for 2 days sounds pricey. So you have a driver and Georgia for 7... More

Marco was recommeded by a friend and he did not disappoint. He arrived at our apartment promptly and whisked us away in his air conditioned Mercedes van where we beat the 36 degree celsius heat in comfort. He is very easy to talk to and has an answer for every single question you may have - no matter how ridiculous.... More

Wow-what a day! Our guide was Alessandro Vagnoli and he was absolutely amazing. We covered so much territory in one day and he had such detailed knowledge of all the sites we visited. It seemed like there would be too many places to see in just one day but we spent the exact right amount of time in each area.... More

I didn't think my wife would have an easy time iin Rome since she has mobility issues and has difficulty walking long distances even on flat surfaces. The centuries-old cobblestone streets of Rome presented a tremendous challenge even if she used a wheelchair. We booked Rome Connection based on the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and I'd say it's heaven-sent.... More

When it's 100º outside in the peak of tourist season, a "Rome Book" will only get you so far... Marco picked us up in a spacious and air conditioned van and then gave us a unique tour of the city, making pit stops at many hidden gems that we never would have read about. He understands the holistic history of... More
