A wine experience like no other! Wine is an important part of Italian culture. At VinoRoma wine tastings/seminars we give you the key to understanding Italian wines and your taste so you can continue exploring on your own, too. We enjoy wine but would not consider ourselves as people who know much about it. Maurizio was a wonderful host and put us at ease straight away and made the two hours really fun as well as informative. He handled questions knowledgable and with confidence and the questions were varied. The relaxed feel meant that people with no knowledge could... More

ciao Linzb81, thank you for your nice words. It is excellent feedback to see how our tasting helped you. Just to clarify for future guests - we do not sell wines at all. We believe educated wine drinkers have more fun and get more for the money they spend on wine, so we are dedicated to that side of drinking... More

Booked this as a surprise for my wife and it was well worth the cost. We were served tastings of 5 very different wines and the owner was able to break down the different taste profiles in a way that our group of very inexperienced tasters could appreciate. Do the wine and cheese tasting though- the cheeses were almost better... More

Attended this "event" with my adult daughters. We know California and South African wines fairly well, but have never appreciated Italian wines. Now we understand! We spent an enjoyable two hours tasting and discussing six wines, hearing about the wine producing regions. While a bit pricey, we found this worth it.

I attended this wine tasting class with 2 friends while in Rome last week. We loved learning about Italian wine and tasting many as well. Our instructor was both knowledgeable as well as lots of fun. There were lots of other friendly people in the class. It was great hearing everyone's questions and opinions. I would love to try one... More

Of course when one goes to Roma there are the no-brainer, must see stops…and then there are special surprises like Vino Roma! What a fun, laid back, and informative experience! We had our tasting after a very hot day of sight seeing in Rome during the very very busy tourist season. After battling crowds and heat all day, stepping into... More

I attended this tasting with my wife, who is considerably more versed in wine than I am, while on a recent vacation to Rome. We selected Vino Roma based on a friends recommendation, and we will definitely pass on the same recommendation in the future. Our sommelier for the tasting was Maurizio, an American living in Rome, who knew his... More

After reading the rave reviews, I decided to make this a must do while I was in Rome. I was so glad I did! While I find myself to know a bit about wine, I learned so much. Our host was charming, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. He asked us about what types of wines we normally drank and introduced us... More

We found this by searching wine tasting in Rome and always willing to give something new a whirl, we booked up. They take payment via PayPal at €100 for the 4 Italian. When we arrived we were the only ones there although we just felt glad to be inside with air conditioning! The host, a young American, was very friendly... More

Ciao Matt, we are glad you found the experience enjoyable but of course not so happy you thought you didn't get your money's worth. Did you have a chance to read the description of the tasting on the website before booking? This is a technical tasting and a learning experience of the wines of Italy, which are predominantly dry. Guests... More

We went to the my Italians wine class and were able to try many different wine. Hande does a great job of teaching your nose how to pick up on each flavor of each wine. I will be returning to Rome again in a few months and hope to take another class with her.
