After this truly fun and deeply informative tasting, I was not only able to navigate Italian wine lists with more confidence, but more importantly a higher success rate of selecting and communicating the type of wine I wanted to drink! The 'My Italians' class gave me an excellent overview of the various regions of Italy and the wines they produce,... More

Spent two hours tasting Italian wines with a sommelier called Maurizio (apologies for the spelling...) and it was a truly fantastic evening. I just wish we had booked this for the start, rather than the end of our trip! It was very relaxed and the sommelier was brilliant at picking up what sort of level of knowledge that my girlfriend... We attended a wine tasting at Vino Roma led by the wonderful Hande earlier this week. There were four of us, with different levels of knowledge and (as became clear during the event) very different taste preferences. Hande walked us through wine basics in general, and then began a terrific introduction to Italian wines -- the regional differences, the impact... More

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the "My Italians" intro to Italian wine tasting. Maurizio (apologies if I just butchered the spelling!) was a knowledgeable and laid back teacher. He immediately made our group of novice winos feel right at home discussing the finer details of Italian wines, wine making, and of course wine tasting. If I could do it... More

We (4) booked a food tour with Vino Roma and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Hande, Great dialog, beautiful food and interesting places. A wonderful "taste of Rome" led by a well travelled and articulate guide. Brian, Pam, Steve and Mary Ellen.

I'm finally writing a review. This was one of many great experiences I had in Rome. I would say the class we took was more for the experienced wine drinker but I still enjoyed it and did not feel uncomfortable. Handi (sp?) was great! She was a great host & gave us some great tips on restaurants to go to... More

Walking into the modernly rustic and chicly white Vino Roma wine tasting room set the tone for an elegantly educational evening for me. Before the wine tasting even began, I knew from the get go that this experience was well-worth the investment. The experience of this educational wine tasting was a good foundation for anyone exploring the flavors of wines.... More

From the location of the tasting, to our amazing teacher and the wines we tried, it was all a great experience! Don't forget to ask them about restaurant and cafe tips! Their advice will transform your holiday!

We had read about this tasting about a year ago and finally had a chance to take part in a tasting. It exceeded all our expectations. The sommelier is very knowledgable and a great teacher (not always the same) and is very funny (even rarer). If you are open to leaving behind preconceptions and really understand italian wine (or wine!),... More
