Of interest is the walk there on the way to from Trevi fountain, or thru the tunnel. An ancient Roman hill mainly with public buildings of government. Impressive guards uniforms at the presidential palace.

I only visited the square, which has a beautiful giant sculpture and obelisk that is located outside the palazzo. I did go at sunset and found a little spot that offers up a view of the city, and a tiny Vaticano in the background. That was a pleasant surprise. It's very quiet here as well so you won't find a... Thinking of all of Rome's beautiful quarters, this one is definitely the least interesting and impressive. The only REAL attraction in this quarter is the famous Trevi fountain, which is a must visit. Other smaller attractions are decent, at best, and can be easily skipped during a first visit to Rome.

The Quirinale is a very interesting neighborhood with many palaces like the Palazzo Barberini and several good churches. If one just wanders around, one will find many interesting places to see such as the Fountain of Moses.

While we have not enjoyed the privilege of visiting the Palazzo Quirinale, we have enjoyed the surrounding area through the years. The view over Rome from Piazza Quirinale is spectacular, especially at sunset. The fountain and obelisk provide fantastic photo opportunities, especially at night. The spectacular masterpiece church of Bernini, San Andrea al Quirinale, is a few blocks further down.... More

There are several misinformations by previous reviewers about the visit to QUIRINALE. It is available every Sunday, from 8.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. To enter you should be there around 8 a.m. and purchase tickets: 5 Euros per person. free for students and seniors from E.U. The tour takes you through Italian presidential palace, former winter residence of popes. There... More

I have had the priviledge to visit several times the Quirinale, home of the Italia President of the Republic and former residence of the Pope. It is an impressive visit and the place is mantained in a spectacular way. Do not miss the gardens.
