you can't get in

The main problem with this stadium is that you can't get in there is no tour of the stadium and all you can do is take a picture and look it from the outside

It's a really great stadium that's accessible by tram. As you cross the bridge there are loads of stalls selling football t shirts and as you approach the stadium there are places to eat and drink on the right. If it's Roma v Lazio and you're on the Curva Sud then get far away from the Mussolini statue/drinking area after... More

Caught a Europa League match between S.S. Lazio and Rosenborg on a recent trip to Rome. The stadium is easy enough to reach by public transportation but it is off the beaten tourist path. The stadium itself is huge and can feel a little cold and sterile with only 15,000 fans. You are also a long way from the pitch... More

The general tourist will not need to visit Stadio Olimpico on a visit to Rome. It is several kilometers from the Centro Storico, is not visually appealing, and there are much better ways for most visitors to spend a few hours. That said, Olimpico is a must visit on matchdays for soccer fans because it has been the site of... More

On the 17th October, got our last minute entrance ticket for the soccer match of Roma vs Empoli. With a price of €25/pax and we got to watch such a great soccer match, nothing more I can wish for my life but really appreciate this moment. From Piazza di Spagna we took cab to arrived in Stadio Olimpico, around 10mins... More

So eight of our group asked to go to a soccer game. I arranged for the tickets online - not too difficult to do, but you need the legal name. They were to bring their passports to get in, one forgot but another ID worked just fine. So, on to the game. We had been advised not to sit on... More

Saw the top two teams from the previous season play, with Roma coming out on top. The stadium was full and had an excellent atmosphere, was able to stand in the corner with great views and drink beer.....can't beat that! The stadium is quite old but still rocks with a passionate full house in there.

We went to the last game in the qualifying matches for the European Championship 2016 - and Norway had to win to go through - leding 1-0 unti lthe 72 min it was exciting, but the Italians were to strong and won comfortably and deserved. The Stadio Olympico is placed in a very nice Olympic park and the atmosphere around... More

took a bus from the Vatican, luckily we managed to get seated before the next stop, loads of supporters boarded the bus, this meant a slow stop start journey to the stadium, as for the stadium we sat in the main stand, better seats and no hassle, toilets and food stand busy throughout game, standard fare with slight price increase,...
