Sanctuary.

The sanctuary is full of history and it's amazing. Close to "Pompeii scavi" and situated in front of a great park. You should go there.

We just went to Sunday mass here at 8:30. The mass was really full and the people were really friendly. While it was in Italian, we were able to follow along. The church is beautiful and has incredible frescos on the ceiling. The altar is very intricate and pretty. The church sits on a beautiful square across from fountains. Last... More

This church is very impressive. Walk several miles from the Pompeii ruins to get here... Stop and get gelato on your way! It was incredible and while we were visiting there was a communion so we got to see what the girls wore. Very neat

This is a beautiful church that sits about 150 feet above the dug out part of Pompeii. Actually Pompeii was discovered years after this church was built on top of parts of Pompeii. They excavated Pompeii up to the area where the church is. It is unknown how big Pompeii actually is. It is believed that the city extends far... More

Most visitors to Pompei never set foot in the town and will miss this Basilica. The deception inside is incredible. It feels as if a victorian architect just said - give me as much gold, paintings and mosaics as you can fit on all the surfaces. when you visit do not miss the room on the left of the high... More

You wont regret making this a stop part of your visit. Make sure you take the time to explore each part of this church and take in the sight, art, history, prayers, etc. Even the kids will enjoy.

This huge church is well worth a visit. Its interior is beautiful and for a small fee (a couple of euros) you can go up the bell tower from which there are magnificant views of Pompeii (including the ruins) so you can get some nice photos. Visiting the church itself is free. There were very few tourists when we visited... More

They had just finished restoring the interior when we went. I had been there the year before so there was tons of scaffolding everywhere. This year it was all done. The paintings and mosaics are amazing.

With its neoclassical stone facade that culminates with the statue of Vergine del Santo Rosario (carved in single block of Carrara marble) and heavily decorated with golden mosaics and bright colors paintings, this is the most important attraction of "The new Pompeii".
