My main objective was the 360 degree aerial view of the area from the top of the campanile. You need to go inside the building between it and the church to purchase your Euro 2 tickets. Then you ride a small elevator up, up, up to the top of the tower. The views were awesome. The sights of the ruins... More

In Piazza Bartolo Longo stands the famous sanctuary of the Beata Vergine del Rosario. The Sanctuary, which was designed by the architect Antonio Cua who... More

Make sure you look up, the frescoes on the ceilings are breathtaking. If you're in Pompei, I highly recommend taking the time to visit this church.

Having read the reviews I had decided that I would really like to go up the bell tower. The views were stunning and better than I could have imagined. It was a great place to take photos from also. I had not planned to see inside the church but am very glad I did. It is very beautiful with fabulous... More

Although only 100 years or so old, the whole building is magnificent and seems to have a very special calm quality throughout. It is well worth the 2 Euros each to ascend the adjacent Bell Tower from where there are superb views over the towns, both modern and ancient!

This Basilica is a do not miss! I have been to Pompeii before but went to the ruins day tripping and left. I am so happy we saw this gorgeous church. The nuns make it so special for me. They run the gift shops. Be sure to stop in. There a loads of masses too.
