We have booked a private gudied tour with Emiliano Tufano's Company and we have been assigned to Sergio, a very experienced guide who has made our day in Pompei and Ercolano extremely interesting thanks to his explanations and the way he has organized our tour. The tour has exceeded our expectations and it's definitively worth doing, despite it is not... More

Three full days, easily organised from England with Pompeiin.com a bespoke service with a touch of relaxed Italian flair. Assistance with selecting what to see, when to see it, transport, buying entrance tickets (you will skip any queues!) where to lunch and SO much more is all taken care of. It was a thrill to be 'taken back in time'... More

In October, my partner and two children and I had very enjoyable and informative tours of Pompeii, Herculanuem, Stabiae and Oplontis. We all have an interest in Roman history and Emiliano was a superb guide, taking us to all the best locations and providing an expert commentary which brought everything alive. Emiliano has a great style, combining his detailed knowledge... More

Seven of us booked Emiliano through a local recommendation. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable with great facts, details and trivia (that PhD!), but he had a great sense of humor. Pompei was filled with large tour groups, but Emiliano finessed us through the crowds and the streets of Pompei and showed us the best the amazing city had to... More

Emiliano was extremely helpful and accommodating setting up a private tour for my family. Our tour guide Roberto, is an archeologist by training and was extremely knowledgeable and very, very nice. Roberto explained and highlighted things that were of interest to the whole family. My husband and I had been to Pompeii before but without a tour guide and I... More

Emiliano is a very pleasant, knowledgeable guide, who is passionate about his vocation and projects that enthusiasm on the tour. Pompeii is a wonderful place and without his guidance, we would have missed a lot of great facts about it. We wholeheartedly recommend him.

We were on a cruise ship and found Emilano as a tour guide outside of the cruise excersion offerings. We met up with a couple of other people who were looking for a excursion and ended up contact Emilano as our guide. We saw there were good review of Emilano, but of course you never know on these things. Our... More

Getting a personal guide to show you round Pompeii is a good idea for several reasons. The highlights will be easier to find, you will be told what you are seeing (signs are scarce in Pompeii) but most of all, you will go past the queues! And if you are going to hire a guide, Emiliano is one of the... More

My husband, two teenage daughters, and I enjoyed a wonderful full-day tour of Pompeii with Giancarlo. A professional and university-trained archaeologist, Giancarlo's passion for his subject and his extensive knowledge shone through at every turn. He shared a great deal of historic and cultural information and answered our many questions. We appreciate that he was comfortable tailoring the tour to... More

I feel remiss at not having left this review before now. Wanting to tour Pompeii as well as have a guide for a 130 mile charity walk from Capua to Rome, I was lucky enough to find Emiliano in November 2013. Throughout the 5 months before we met, he was courteous, efficient and prompt. I was impressed by the way... More
