Exquisite church. And a must see in my opinion. It is free to enter and one could spend a lot of time there as there is just so much to see. The frescos and statues are everywhere you turn and it is a veritable feast for the eyes. Do not visit Naples without seeing it.

Exceptional beautiful cathedral, one not to miss. The interior is unbelievably grand and Baroque. A very tranquil interlude in busy Naples.

This is appears to be one of the largest churches in the area and def worth a visit. The exterior is very interesting and the interior ceiling work is amazing, as is the individual chapels around the church. Take a little time for some reflection is a moving experience. Due to location - it's a great follow on after visting... More

Amazing Roman building, real masterpiece. Would be interesting for those who enjoys art&architectures and for those who simply wants to say a prayer.

I think I spent most of this years holidays gaining a better appreciation of churches and sculptures:o) This one was gorgeous inside, not sure how I feel about the exterior but it is certainly memorable! Now we tried to find this on our second day and we ended up going a really ugly route and were really disappointed with 'the... More

This is a superb example of pieta dura (precious stone work) that is amazingly well preserved. Of course, going for a religious ceremony ensures that the lighting will be excellent, but walking around during service is not so great. Better to arrive either before or after before the lights are shut off. Also, usually better to go in the morning... More

this rich (or, for some, "over-wrought") Baroque church is a stunner in nearly every way: architectural might, lavish interior "decor," stunning Solimena fresco over the interior entry

This attraction is free to enter but remember it is a house of worship, so be quiet and respectful. It is lovely. There are no hustlers here to show you around like in the cathedral of Naples that houses the bones and blood of St. Gennaro. Be careful in there is you accept one of the "guides" who have badges... You cannot miss this church in the old town. We saw it first at night, and could not enter of course. We came back in the morning, and very amazed by contrast in its interior and exterior. Grey, very unusual exterior is rather strange - rows and rows of stone pyramids. Look closer - you will see a small engraved... More
