Take a walk on the lungo mare starting from Hotel Romeo. Give a look to the famous hotels Vesuvio and Excelsior. Visit the Castel. You can than have lunch, or a drink in the nearby restaurants. At night time plenty of people in bars and restaurants.
We enjoyed the wide open spaces to roam in the castle. The canons were especially interesting to my son and husband.
It is a castle with its history presented on boards in various rooms. The best bit is the views you get from the different landings. It is free so there is no reason not to check it out, especially if you like castles and/or history.
Castle was free to visit, with amazing views of the bay of Naples. Fun for kids to run around, lots of good restaurants right next to it.
... and great views, lots of restaurants nearby, local kids jumping into the sea. Very Naples. A must see.
I required more from there but some people said: not expect lot. When the people come here you have to look at, but this will be a memorable Naples. If You come here, you have to see this, but not that is the reason, that you have beautiful memories from Naples.
still you should visit it! we just amd a tour around and inside a part of it. It offers you a nice view on the bay of Napoli, either on the side of the port or the Vomero and then the rest.
Nice to look at from our hotel breakfast and nice to go inside with some stunning views over the bays on both sides and of Vesuvius rising up ominously. There does not seem to be an entrance fee which struck me as odd but upon closer inspection it would appear that the castle gets used for business seminars and also...

this is one of the symbols of naples. very pictoresque and interesting to visit it. enjoy it cos we really recomend it
