As a fan of something free, I took a stroll around here early one morning when it had just opened. Such a solid looking building, it seems bigger once inside. Not much to see, but the windows make good frames for the many photos you will take of the views over the bay. I was surprised by the number of... More

Certainly worth a visit, just walking up into the castle - free of charge. The view from the top is really nice.

Naples in general is a dump as well as the castle. Interesting art but extremely unhelpful staff and the place is dirty. Not worth €6!

There's not much to see here but it's free and the view from the top is spectacular. There is a very good diagram showing all the major sites across the bay. It was a Sunday when we were here and very hot. Lots of people out in boats and swimming in the bay or sunbathing on the rocks. Naples looked... More

Across the bay of Naples ,as there isn't a fee it's worth a visit .Very good for photos ,a professional photo shoot was taking place when we were there .As a tourist you should be careful as we did see someone being pick pocketed ! Impressive Castle and you can see evidence of battles of the past the city of... More

The building has not much to be seen. However the entrance is free and you can enjoy a nice view to the bay and Capri island, and also a good view to the city. You will find many couples having photos there (it seems newlyweds go there for good luck). Since I was staying nearby it was really worth the... More

On our first day in Naples we went down to look at the seafront, and found ourselves in here. Free entry, and we had no idea what we'd find but wandered in. Nothing much inside apart from some nice windows overlooking Mt. Vesuvius on the way up. The route through takes you upwards, and out onto flat roof terraces with... More

We went here on a tuesday and almost had the whole place to ourselves which was lovely. Its free to get in and is definitely worth wandering up to the top to see the views across the bay and watch the fishermen nearby in the pretty little harbour. Its only a 20 min walk from the historical centre and one... More

Worth the walk along the waterfront. Head farther out/south from the Royal Palace area and across the causeway out to the castel. You may get to see young divers gathering mussels. Once atop, you have great views up to Castel St Elmo (top of Central Funicular), as well as out the Bay of Naples and the ritzy modern beachfront section

A castle with an intriguing name and history, located on a former island, but with a causeway linking the island to the mainland. This is where the Greeks originally settled in Naples. From the top of the castle, you get good views in all directions around the bay and of Naples itself. Access is steep and not suitable for wheelchairs... More
