We took an overnight ferry from Naples to palermo in the middle of june 2014. Ferry staff was welcoming and willing to help with any request. Our external cabin on the 7th floor was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was fine (just don't expect a 5 stars hotel). We brought our own food and drinks, so we... More

DO NOT TAKE THIS FERRY! The organization operates in an absolute fraudulent manner and will go to any extent to lie to its customers!!! The company refuses to refund on my money for a ticket that was never issued, after making an explicit and direct promise to me that the charge would be refunded, and I confirmed with them that... I recently took a ferry from Naples to Stromboli with SNAV. The boat was on time, and booking in, luggage and boarding etc was efficient. The boat itself was adequate with plenty of space (3 July 2014) however it is a long 4.5hrs on board, with no proper access to any outdoor space/fresh air. There is a small deck out... More

We took ferry from Naples (Molo beverollo) to capri and from Capri to Sorrento. In both cases the port terminals were difficult to navigate. Naples was dirty, none of the boards were working to tell you where to go for your ferry and the bathrooms unusable. In capri, they didn't even have boards to tell you where to meet your... More

After visiting Sicily, we originally planned to fly to Naples. But we decided to take the SNAV ferry from Palermo to Naples. This turned out to make sense for a couple of reasons. Since the ferry is overnight, we saved the cost of a hotel room as well as the airfare. And we arrived early in the morning, allowing more... More

This is a huge timesaver if you're going to Sicily. It saves a daylong train ride, and he would have to pay for a hotel at night anyway. I booked reservations online. And we found out where the check in office was earlier in the day. We took the tram line #1 from the train station and it stopped in... More

We were surprised at how good this was. Our family of four were on foot, embarking was easy, the cafeteria was really quite good and not expensive, the four berth cabin comfortable. We did take the advise of another reviewer and did not leave our cabin til the porter actually entered (the wakeup calls are a bit early) we then... More

SNAV's Palermo ferry is a large 11-storey ship which takes cars and offers private cabins for this 12-hour journey (they say it is faster, but it isn't). The quality of my cabin was very good - clean, well-stocked, with a much-better bathroom than I had expected. The air conditioning worked well. The food and drink served on board (there is... More

Took the SNAV ferry from Naples to Palermo and back due to our Italian friends saying it is cleaner than the other ferry. Rooms were simple, clean and easy to get to. You arrive between 1700 and 1800 (only time they will take your ticket) and check in and get in line to load. The Ferry wasn't crowded either direction... More

Took the jetfoil from Naples to Capri return. The boat was on time both ways, the seats were comfortable with a very aircraft feel to the interior. The staff were calm and efficient and the boat was clean, if a little worn. The main problem was the boarding and getting off. The boarding in Naples was a scrum for 2... More
