We had a great time at this cooking school. Chef Longo was so sweet and really let us help out. The cookbook we get is also filled with many recipes i can't wait to try.

Came here for a cooking school. Located 10 min from downtown Sorrento. Had a snafu w/ the res at first but Laura the chef's daughter pulled some strings and helped us out. We made eggplant parmigiana (not the breaded, deep fried crap drowned in red sauce we are served in the US. These were lightly fried w/ mozzarella and bay...

We traveled to Sorrento for Christmas, 2011. As a family of 4 with two older children, I thought it would be fun to have everyone learn some Italian holiday cooking. We spent 4 hours cooking at Mami Camilla's on Christmas Eve followed by a lovely evening sharing food with Chef Longo's family and those individuals staying at Mami Camilla's B...

This was time well spent. Camilla passed on a lot of information and was very good at making herself understood. We booked a week to stay and take cooking classes at mami camilla last fall and it was a disaster. We checked in mid afternoon and were shown to a room with very little furniture, a terrible bath and a smell that I could not place. We left and checked into a hotel in the town itself. (a side note....

I miss Italy a lot and hope to some day come back and visit especially to Mami Camilla! Mami Camilla was beneficial to my career. I am currently working in downtown Atlanta, Ga. next to a Neopolitan Pizza chef (Antonio). We talk daily about Italy and also compare recipes we both brought from Italy. We recently just came up with...

Our trip to Sorrento would have been complete without our cooking school experience.
Our lesson was around 100 euro a person and went for around four hours. A multi-course Italian meal was prepared with explanations given and we participated in making biscuits, kneading pasta etc. We each received an apron and cooking book.
The participants included long term culinary students,...
