I miss Italy a lot and hope to some day come back and visit especially to Mami Camilla! Mami Camilla was beneficial to my career. I am currently working in downtown Atlanta, Ga. next to a Neopolitan Pizza chef (Antonio). We talk daily about Italy and also compare recipes we both brought from Italy. We recently just came up with... more

Our trip to Sorrento would have been complete without our cooking school experience. Our lesson was around 100 euro a person and went for around four hours. A multi-course Italian meal was prepared with explanations given and we participated in making biscuits, kneading pasta etc. We each received an apron and cooking book. The participants included long term culinary students,... more

We were three couples who purchased the week long cooking/cultural program through Mama Margaret Italian Cooking Vacations. Mami Camilla's was described as a three-star property which it definitely is not. The "gardens" are non-existent although their website describes them as lush, fertile grounds producing their own vegetables. There is a patch of weeds beside the outdoor dining area where hungry... more

Our experience at Mami Camilla's was welcoming - given the 'stand-offishness' that we had experienced at our other stays in Italy. The staff and family were cordial and the environment was set up to stimulate communication with other guests - particularly over the communal breakfasts and dinners. Even as non-participants in the cooking school we still felt part of the... more

Mami Camilla is an amazing find; a lovely bed and breakfast inn that is clean, comfortable, and run by an incredibly kind family. A group of twelve of us stayed in their dorm for a night-- great price, clean and comfortable big room, functioning air conditioning (which is a huge perk during the Mediterranean summers), great showers and bathroom; it... more

My husband and I spent 10 days staying at Mami Camilla's. We were made to feel so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. During our holiday we met friendly people from all over the world - South Africa, Brazil, Australia, America, Canada, Germany and Britain. The amazing thing about this hotel is the way everyone arrives and is so quickly... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay here. We found all the family very friendly and helpful, one of the brothers even came done the road to help with the luggage. The breakfasts are excellent serving meats and cheeses, croissant and rolls, fruit from the garden and pastries. The room we had was very comfortable, with an excellent... more

Me and my husband stayed here during our visit to Italy in the summer. We went to many cities in Italy, and Mami Camilla was by far one of the most memorable stays. The location was great. It's tucked away in a orchard/farm like area in the middle of a cute residential area. Just down the street, is this unbelievable... more

This charming family home and cooking school is a special treat for all guests! They grow lemons and oranges in their garden which they pick and serve every day. The pasta is homemade. The guests are from around the world. They help with excursions and last minute requests with graciousness. You can cook all day or just stay the night.... more
