Leonelli is a nice private area on the beach where you have to pay entrance and beside this pay for chair and bed. But that is everywhere in this town. You can also eat here. We were served by a nice waiter called Antonio. He was extremely friendly. We had a little lunch which was nice. The bill was not... More

Why are people moaning about black sand?? It's volcanic. Look across the bay at that bloody big volcano - Vesuvius. Pompeii! Ring any bells anywhere?? This is a clean, well run and well organised beach. It's Italy so you have to pay. It's Sorrento with cliffs and stuff so, no, the beaches aren't massive, but they are what they are.... More

We visited Leonelli's beach 3 times during our fortnight holiday in Sorrento. We thought that, after seeing some of the other places, that this was definitely the best option. Swimming here is sheltered - you can climb down into deep water from the platforms or rent beds on the beach where you can walk into the sea - it stays... More

Went on two days and thjs is a well kept and clean beech with good swimming and facilities. Be aware that the first two rows of chairs are reserved by Sorrento residents. Good restaurant and fair prices for a whole day.

Went here once as an alternative to the hotel pool, it was ok, we had reduced rates through our hotel but it was still € 9 per lounger plus a parasol. Water great and views amazing, don't think I could spend a whole day there though, and that's the only way it's reasonable value.

We had two separate days at Leonellis, both booked and with a reserved spot on the beach. It unusual for us British to pay for a beach but in Italy if you want the best position on the best beach with all the changing rooms, hot showers, toilets you need to pay. Antonio welcomed us each morning and would get... More

I have to preface this review by stating outright that compared to Positano, Sorrento really didn't do it for me at all. I looked down at this beach and saw how crowded it was. People seemed packed in like sardines and it didn't look like a lot of fun to lie in the blazing sun. Of course you could pay... More

My 12yo daughter and myself spent two separate days on this beach. It's only very small at the bottom of the cliffs and has been decked out into the sea and then a lido created with a stone breakwater. This made the area very safe for younger children. There is a cost to this though, for parasol with two sun... More
