This is a drive that should be on any bucket list. The views are spectacular. You have to be a courageous driver to do it yourself otherwise go by bus or take a boat ride of the coast.

Breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast and the little towns which seem to flow down the cliff-sides and into the sea. The 'hair-pin' turns are not for the feint hearted though.

Stunning views as you are riding along the Amalfi coast,we went on the public bus from Sorrento and its such beautiful part of the world. We went to Amalfi town which is lovely with an amazing church there. Then on the way back we went to Positano a colourful fishing village,it was a steep downhill walk through pretty cobbled streets... More

Driving through the Amalfi coast and through some of the towns was stunning, beautiful and breathtaking! However, when we stopped for lunch, we were surprised to learn of the "cover charge" restaurants now charge patrons! There was nothing noted upon arrival or on the menu - it was on the bill. Luckily we were only charged 3 euro each (which... More

my husband and I stayed in montepertuso for our two week long holiday. we decided to venture out on one of these days and did a private tour on the coast. we hired a driver based in Sorrento. he was pretty pricey (€300 for two of us) excluding tip and lunch. but the van was spacious and comfy and he... Taxi was 150 euros to hire the driver for the day to wait while we visited Pompeill (nearly 3 hours) and then drove us down the coast to Portofino. Beautiful run round very windy, narrow roads (not for the feint hearted!). On arrival in Portofino our driver persuaded us to go to a local restaurant up the hill. Food was... More

We booked a day trip to explore the Amalfi coast line, visiting the Town itself, Positano and Ravello. Absolutely scary but beautiful. These bus drivers have to be admired. Positano is home to the rich and famous with homes perched 1 higher and higher, going up and up the mountains. Amalfi has a beautiful cathedral with loads of cobbled streets... More

The Amalfi coast is a popular tourist destination (it was my fifth time there) and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a stretch of coastline from Positano to Vietri sul Mare of steep shores. The coastal road that connects these two spots on the southern sorrentina peninsula, offers the visitor first of all a challenging driving experience and then... More

Drove the Amalfi coast twice once on a dark and racing day then again on a sunny day. What a contrast , roof open and sun on our faces what a great day for a drive. It was a Saturday when the sun treated us to a memorable dat trip as we drove from Sorrento to Napels airport. We had... More

We travelled to Sorrento and took an Amalfi coast tour, the scenery is marvellous and the Italian coach/bus drivers are excellent. The Amalfi coast is one of the most beautiful places to visit, I would certainly go back and do it again.
