Mini cruise, the coast line is very pretty. The town itself was expensive, with a capital E. Would like to go back.

If you don't mind driving in some small zig zag roads, driving is one of the best way to visit the place and many great views await you. The attractions are very spread out along the coast, so if not driving, bus is an option. Beware there are many very narrow roads and parking along the road is not recommended.

When planning your visit to the La Costiera Amalfitana - the Amalfi Coast, give serious consideration to staying in Amalfi and seeing the area by ferry. Amalfi is well located for short ferry trips to Positano and Salerno or somewhat longer ones to Capri or Sorrento. After having dreamed of a holiday on the Amalfi Coast for years and years -- reading the history books, watching the movies shot on location there, pouring over the Travel Guides -- we spent our anniversary week there and it did not disappoint on any level.
It truly is a magical destination and an experience that borders on fantasy ......
