You can get lost in the alley-wide streets filled with street art on building walls, construction barriers, and garage doors everywhere. I found very nice restaurants and tea shops as I roamed the area. It's also a great area to ride a bike.

I went to Barrio Carmen twice during my two day stay in Valencia. Ever the live music fan, especially jazz, I searched up and down the streets to no avail. There were some entertaining street musicians. In general, it is a stroll-oriented area, with lots of people, bars and restaurants. I was particularly interested watching the comings and goings of... A cool area of the city...lots of graffiti and cool bars and cafes. Narrow streets to wander through at your own pace.

We leased an apartment in this Harrison for two weeks. The are is most charming and very eas to get around in. Great cafes, shops and very friendly people. I am not a city person, but found myself at complete ease in this area of Valencia.

We loved the small streets, the cafés, the amazing graffiti, the live music and the overall atmosphere in this Barrio.

While we walked through this neighbourhood we saw the ancient buildings in El Carmen, the amazing architecture, the multicultural atmosphere... But it is a shame that it is full of graffiti that instantly destroy the excellent appearance of the great pieces of... More

We were staying in the heart of this district and it is beautiful to stroll around. very busy on Sunday, with tour groups from the cruise ships. lots of bars, cafes and restaurants etc. worth a visit.

this area is known as old town. it has some great bars and restuarants and some great old buildings. over the years it has become a little pricy but if you look carefully you can still find some cheap and cheerful places.
