Amazing display of some great foods

Lovely building in a busy area, lots of bars and cafes outside. The market itself is amazing, there are so many family run stalls full of every food type available. The meat... read more

Lovely building in a busy area, lots of bars and cafes outside. The market itself is amazing, there are so many family run stalls full of every food type available. The meat, cheese and fish stalls have such high quality produce, shame that we were staying in a hotel rather than an apartment as we would have shopped here everyday.... More

There are some inexpensive places for lunch both inside and outside the market. Good to walk around and soak up the atmosphere. Stalls good for picnic items, fruit and some spices etc. to take home. There are public toilets on the lower floor to the back but there is a charge.

We got to the market at 1100 and it is a great place for fish, meat, cheese and everything in between (pardon the jokey title reference). The building itself is a great example of the contemporary style of architecture. Top tip; there is an exhibition on of the history of the building which is well worth a look. It is... More

Loved this market! It had everything we wanted and the prices were great. You are not able to haggle to much but it does not matter as they do not over price items. Restaurants surrounding the market are great and it's an interesting place to experience.

After drooling my way through the stalls, I found a spare seat at a fish bar, one of many and in accordance with my rarely broken rule of "busy with locals". Never have I eaten fresher seafood at a restaurant, too varied to describe here but shellfish and crustations abounded in the dishes I chose. Hope I make it back... More

This is a more day to day market than the (undoubtedly more beautiful) old market in the old City, this is for proper food shopping and has a fantastic variety of produce, meat, vegetables, fish, cheeses, all beautifully laid out in spotlessly clean kiosk type stalls. Really worth a browse around before stopping for a coffee somewhere in one of... More

If you expect a similar experience to la boqueria in barcelona like we did, you are in the wrong spot. Not much to eat while walking around and less things to see. But the place is much more clean and fresh. In short, you will not miss much if you just skip this place.

Being a big foodie, I could not visit Valencia and not go to the market. Spoilt for choice with the fresh fish, meats, vegetables and other goods. And to finish off the visit, a small dish or two and a glass ofbeer or wine from one of the tapa bars outside.
