Sold this sunset trip on the lake at Albufera by the tourist bus company. We set off from the city centre to the same tour guide audio as the city tour. 40 minutes later we parked in a nearly deserted village and walked down a lane past a few allotments to a small boat. The bus driver left the engine... More

We rode bikes to see this "impressive" lagoon. The views on the ride from Valencia itself aren't very impressive and when we finally did arrive at the lagoon we were completely underwhelmed--spent five minutes there, took some snaps and headed back to El Saler to the beach (which again isn't much to write home about). We didn't take a boat... More

The lake is pretty impressive, but a boat trip in the hot day under the scorching sun did not seem attractive to us. I am sure that in a colder weather it should be more interesting and pleasant. Instead, we took some pictures and went to El Saler beach, which was fantastic! We got to Albufera using public transport ("Yellow... More

We took a boat ride from El Palmar into the lagoon, and saw a few ducks, jumping fishes and some traditional houses ("barracas"). It was cheap enough (4 euros per person) to enjoy and relax (and keep our toddlers quiet), for around 40 minutes, but nothing really memorable: just another boat ride.

This was my favourite place in Valencia. I cycled along the coast and stopped at a beach (much quieter than the main beach in Valencia) and then walked around the park. I didn't see any animals (someone did tell me there are flamingos?!) but it was nice to relax and it felt like I had the park to myself!

Visited this place with some local friends. It was a very windy day (probably in the order of 20 MPH). We saw the Albufera from an observation spot on one side of the road during the sunset. There was information available about the history and ecosystem. Other than that, observed a wetland with barely a few birds. Except for the... More

We took a trip out to the park with visitnatura.com. Our guide , Yanina, was so enthusiastic and knowledgable. We leant a lot about the history of the area as well as the nature. Highlights were a lovely trip on her boat and seeing LOADS of flamingoes at the hide at the information centre. If you love learning about nature... More

Lovely surprise and a slice of folk history in the rice producing area close to Valencia. Make sure you book your boat trip with ROSA - the one and only female "barquera" boat woman. Lovely family who made our boat trip around the lake and lanes very interesting, they also have a home made mini-museum of the houses and furniture... More

Like everybody else, I had read great reviews about Albufera Park, and the trip was recommended to us by a couple of Valencia locals as well. My husband and I decided to be adventurous and bike there, so we rented bikes from El Carmen and set off with a rough sense of direction, since nobody seemed to have a map... More

Looked at the pictures of the boats and the water, made me go there. Water is filthy, no boats in the canals, only on the lake. People are pushed in like sardines. NOT RECOMMENDED! Food was good at the street restaurants though.
