Great location. Right close to center of town and it was close to our hotel AC Hotel Colon. It is spacious with lots of seats while we wait for train and the architecture is very beautiful.

This railway station has to be seen to be believed. The huge booking hall is decorated with ceramic tiles that are covered in garlands, orange blossom, oranges and their leaves, roses, cabbage leaves and fruits. This is all in muted shades with cream and pink backgrounds. The columns are topped with sculpted ceramic fruit and flowers. Brass globe lanterns hang... More

A landmark building with many original elements still intact. Great for photography but also worth a 'regular' visit!

The front entrance and ticket area is I=old fashioned with its mosaic ceiling and walls and old fashioned wooden ticket offices. The station itself is a typical large train station but worth a look at the 'quirky' ticket area.
