This train station is a very beautiful building and definitely deserves a walk by. It is also right next to the bullfighting ring and if you keep walking past both you reach Calle Colon, which is a big shopping street.
This really a walk in - walk out - but on the way ......... Look at the outside facade of the building. All designed around the theme of the regions oranges. Inside in a small anteroom - a wonderful picturesque view of local life in ceramics. And take a moment to watch the citizens of Valencia catch their trains. As... More
Beautiful building, it's not often you see that written of a train station! The ticket office is really nice & the small rooms around the sides are open to look at and a worth a wander round.
As you pass through the station take a minute to admire the amazing tiles. Depicting the famous Valencian oranges as well as a variety of floral and rural life scenes. Also lots of nice stained glass to take a look at as you rush for the train
Wonderfully designed station - looks like a bright yellow castle from outside, and has wonderful modernist designs inside. It is free to visit, and a must to go see.
The station lobby has tiled and timbered walls and, and there is one room that is set aside for a more leisurely inspection of the materials. Be warned that English-speaking staff are almost non-existant.
Valencia has two main train stations, the North station being the older and more beautiful of the two. The North station serves as the departure point for Alaris trains and is also no less important than the JS station next door. Lovely architecture and mounted clock. Definitely worth a visit even if your train would depart from JS station.
Traveling for a day trip from Xativa to Valencia we were amazed when we arrived at the Valencia Nord station by the amazing architecture. Beautiful tiled walls. even if your not traveling by train it's worth a quick look.
