I you have a free afternoon-evening, think about spending a day in the park. There you can do almost every sport activity, from running to gym exercises thanks to the structure inside the park.

We enjoy walking on our city holidays and this old river course was a great way to get to the Arts and Sciences. There are special walkways for pedestrians and for cyclists and it is so pleasant and safe.

We reached the Holy Trinity Monastery by walking all along the old riverbed and could enjoy its superb gardens.

Love visiting this area. Not sure how you class it. A great walk with gardens, features such as Parque Gulliver, and a short cut to many destinations / attractions. Very peaceful and relaxing.

The Old River Bed is, as the name says, the bed of the Túria river that was diverted to pass on the southern outskirts of the city. The space it occupied was then requalified and is now a beautiful multipurpose garden, lowered in relation to the city streets, that runs just north of the old town. Has a multitude of... More

Many old cities are built around a wide meandering river and Valencia was no exception. Until terrible floods in 1957 that is. The city decided to divert its main river to the south and hence was left with a huge swathe of land directly around the old town and through the city centre. What Valencia decided to do with the... Turia park is fantasic and stretches almost from the beach and port areas right upto and beyond the centre of Valencia. I think I read that it is ten miles long and its just full of people just enjoying their lives. We walked past people practicing musical instruments under the shade of the trees, a yoga class doing their thing,... More

It is a great spot to chill out in the evenings, the building are stunning and the museums very interesting. It is nice option to rent a bike and ride around the park as it is big and the heat could affect you. With the bike it will make it easier

This long park was once a river. When the river was diverted, the park was made. Thank you, Valencia, for doing this!! We loved this park!! Residents use is all the time for jogging, cycling, football, baseball, walking, picnics, tennis etc. During our visit, we bought sandwiches and had picnics in this park. We also walked the length of the... More
