Surrounding the plaza are other buildings from the city's golden age, such as the Correos (the main post office). In the center of the plaza, a fountain is surrounded by flower stalls with all the colors, sizes, varieties imagineable. This is a good starting point from which to visit Valencia's old quarter or today's most fashionable shops. « less

Almost opposite the Estacion du Norte this enormous plaza is the heart of the city. From here you can walk to the cathedral, the Lonja, the Rotunda, the central market and a host ancient churches, cafes and restaurants. The bullring is a couple of minutes away, the main shopping drag about five. The main building is the town hall, a... More

We went here looking for the tourist info centre and were pleasantly surprised! On a good weather day take the camera for some great shots of some of Valencia's best buildings from a variety of styles.

a nice central city square; being central, it is less cosy, more showy. you will walk through it on your way to / from North Train Station, which is really worth a visit

If you want to visit Valencia, this is the place where to start. Situated in the center, this square is a must-see for everyone because there you can see great example of valencian architecture like the city hall. Also the fountain in the middle is nice. Quiet during the day, by night it becomes active and full of people. Lots... More

We came here for the tourist office in order to buy tickets for the aquarium. It's a very lovely spot and we had to spend some time here taking photos.

We spent 3 days in Valencia. The first plaza that we stepped foot on was Plaza Ayuntamiento. It was a nice elegant place to visit, surrounded by historic architecture. The 2 places you must take photos are the city hall and the post office. In the plaza there are a few modern sculptures and a working splashing fountain. I appreciate... More

Good selection of restaurants nearby. Well decorated during festivals and during christmas. Nice place to sit after long walks or after a day of shopping. It is difficult to get to during midday at Fallas.

This plaza was the site of massive fireworks and huge crowds just a week ago. Now it has been transformed into a flower filled park with the city administration building on one side of the plaza and the main post office on the other. Both imposing buildings.
