Surrounding the plaza are other buildings from the city's golden age, such as the Correos (the main post office). In the center of the plaza, a fountain is surrounded by flower stalls with all the colors, sizes, varieties imagineable. This is a good starting point from which to visit Valencia's old quarter or today's most fashionable shops. « less

Good selection of restaurants nearby. Well decorated during festivals and during christmas. Nice place to sit after long walks or after a day of shopping. It is difficult to get to during midday at Fallas.

This plaza was the site of massive fireworks and huge crowds just a week ago. Now it has been transformed into a flower filled park with the city administration building on one side of the plaza and the main post office on the other. Both imposing buildings.

Saw the new year in here, excellent Xmas lights, ice rink, and beautiful buildings. The hub of the city, buses go from here to all destinations, main train station 1 minute away. Lots of places to eat on streets running away from the plaza.

Celebrated New Year's Eve here and had a blast. Great for grabbing food and people watching. Was very crowded on NYE with lots of fire works and lights. Children and adults were enjoying the coming of the new year and brought their own Cava, grapes and snacks.

Close to main shopping area, central market, and other sights with good eats. Accessible - took a bus (19?) from here to Malvarrosso Beach.
