Tucked away near the central market, this recent restored silk exchange is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a beautiful example of Gothic architecture. Cool, spacious interiors; dazzling main hall with barley sugar columns, secluded central courtyard with fountain and orange trees. Probably won't detain you for more than half an hour, but a lovely, reflective spot in the heart... More

This is well worth a visit. It's only 2 euros to get in and you can spend about an hour walking around, imagining merchants making silk deals in the shady courtyard hundreds of years ago. It's also in an area that needs a good two hours to walk round, taking in the history and beauty of the older part of... More

La Lonja is fantastic. Tucked away right across from Mercado Central, this site is an amazing example of Gothic style architecture. It costs only 2 EUR to enter, (1 with a big group) and is an amazing value for the money. The main hall, which served as an ancient mercantile trading center, is very impressive and grand. The twisting columns... More

Interesting building on UNESCO World Heritage list (see http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/782) referred to as a "masterpiece of late Gothic architecture." It's also an attractive photo op. and only a short walk to the cathedral. If you have a telephoto lens you can get pictures of various gargoyles some traditional some risque.

The Lonja de la Seda is a late Valencian Gothic style civil building in Valencia, built between 1482 and 1548. The UNESCO considered it as a World Heritage Site in 1996 since "the site is of outstanding universal value as it is a wholly exceptional example of a secular building in late Gothic style, which dramatically illustrates the power and... This gothic building is very impressive, I would say number one attraction in Valencia. The entrance ticket is only 2 euros.

A nice place to visit. I guess it's better to go there when there's not too many people around to enjoy its beauty. Small but charming.

The entrance fee is just 2 EUR and even though not furnished it is nice to visit, and it will not take a lot of time. Lovely small garden inside.

A little gem that takes only half an hour to cover but shouldn't be missed. Easy to imagine what it must have been like bustling with activity nearly 500 years ago...
