Beautiful Cathedral, nice to walk around with the audio guide. There is work being down around the Cathedral but inside is quite stunning.
Cathedral is a mixture of different architectural styles. You can get special feeling if you visit during Sunday service - we did so. What impressed me most, even thoug it is quite small, was the holy grail. It is difficult to observe it behind three glasses, but there is a souvenir shop nerby and you can see photos of it.... More
I don't think any of the main European cathedrals will disappoint anyone who has an appreciation for the amount of resources that goes into building and renovating the major houses of Catholic worship. I found the audio guide, which is included in the price of admission (5 Euros regular, 3.50 reduced) highly informative and will help you appreciate all that... More
The Valencia Cathedral, also, known as Saint Mary's Cathedral is located in a lovely square in the center of Valencia. This cathedral houses the Chapel of the Holy Grail and is well worth a visit. The chalice or Holy Grail has been located in the cathedral since 1437. It is protected behind a glass enclosure inside a small stone chapel... More
One of best cathedrals I've visited in Europe. Audio guide is included in entrance fee and is well worth it - gives a great short description of the fascinating paintings around the cathedral. Visit first thing in the morning when it's quiet for the best experience - it opens at 10am and is full of tourist groups by midday.
The cathedral is very unusual fom architectural point of view. The roman-style front wall and gothic-style back. Inside in the chapel you can see the Holy Grale - for additional price, but once i came inside without any payments. The back wall stands on a beautiful square with a fountain
If you're in Valencia, then you really must take the time to visit the Cathedral. You can experience the Cathedral at no charge in the small cordoned off area in the corner of the Cathedral, however, it's worth paying the €5 or so Euros to get the full experience. The entrance fee includes an audio guided tour which is both... More
If you come to Valencia, it's one of the main things you want to see. It's really beautiful. Chapel of The Holy Grail is an impressive place. It's worth to pay 5 euro. But if you come on Sunday, you can visit it for free.
The cathedral itself is very impressive, but it's not that much different from other impressive ecclesiastical buildings. However, climb the bell tower for a fantastic view of Valencia. It's a long hard climb, but it only costs 2 euros. Can get VERY crowded.
