BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

We headed out one morning to the Bioparc - it is a 10-15 min walk from the metro station and when you arrive it seems unimpressive - but dont be put off! This is a great place with the opportunity to see animals in a slightly more open, natural habitat. We thoroughly enjoyed around 4 hours and the opportunity for... More

Lots of large wild creatures in beautiful surroundings, arranged according to habitats around the eating area for human visitors, with ytables around the edge for good views. Interesting bird and animal show in main arena was also watched, over the adjoining wall, by the neighbouring giraffe! Great to be able to get so close to the animals who seemed genuinely... More

Bioparc is an expansive space with a multitude of animals on show in zones designed to replicate their natural habitat. Viewing points are many and are close to the animals. It's very popular with children and adults alike. We enjoyed the proximity to the animals and the variety of species on show. We didn't enjoy Spanish people smoking throughout the... More

An exciting journey face to face with all kinds of wild animal. Areas are divided by main zones of each continent . Wild beasts are divided by the viewer from a few meters and only a few ditches. Really exciting to be so close to lions, rhinos, zebras and so on, and giraffes who come to examine you a few... More

Having been to Faunia in Madrid, I expected the Bioparc in Valencia to be a lot smaller and quite disappointing. But in fact, the Bioparc was even better! It's a new style zoo based on the wildlife of Africa, so the animals are given lots of space, and it's beautifully landscaped with lots of rocks, waterfalls and other features that... More

Today we visited the Biopark and it was fantastic! The animals looked well kept and generally happy in their natural looking surroundings. We were amazed at how close you could get to some of the animals, especially the giraffes and the gibbons (on the guided tour). Definitely worth a visit when in Valencia. We were able to wander around with... More

Great exhibits, animals seem well cared-for. Definitely allow a few hours to look around, because there's plenty to see. On the negative side, there are hardly any places to eat (and what they do have is expensive for what you get) and it would be good if the animal show came with audio headsets in different languages - our son... Quite simply, I loved every minute I was here. It was so wonderful to see the animals at so close quarters and, of course, in a very natural environment. I would recommend you visit the presentations (included in the price!) and leave yourself plenty of time. If you live in the area, you probably know that the Annual Ticket (the... More

Worse bit was the queue to get in. We had prepaid tickets and still queued up for good 25 minutes. It felt rather chaotic. However, once in, the place was not busy. It is so large that it can easily accommodate 1000s of people without feeling crowded. The animals have very large enclosures, which look clean and well kept. The... More
