My wife and I vsit every year and hope our donations help to keep these animals from the cruelty and certain death they would have faced. We are not necssarily animal lovers as such but last year we saw a blind lion cub, albino python, tigers which were discarded pets from some Indian mansion, bears from a Russian Circus and... more

We have visited El Arca yearly for the past five years and never fail to be moved by the previous suffering of the animals there. Our favourite is the Sphynx cat. We met it as a 12 week old kitten and immediately were hooked on the breed, to the extent my son is buying one today! El Arca is a... more

Noah's Ark is a fantastic place the animals are rescued and are all waiting to be rehomed, visiting is a real experience. be prepared for a few tears as you will be up close to many beautiful animals it is a very moving place. This is not a zoo so has daily tours, 1pm and 4:30pm, there is no entrance... more

This is the first time i have been to the arc i am very upset and dissapointed, the animals bearly loook as if they have water, they can not move around in happiness, they are not happpy! this place is supposed to be a sanctuary but i would say its no more than a tradgic rundown zoo! more

Having checked with locals that this was a 'Sanctuary' and not a zoo, I felt I should support anywhere in Spain that was trying to improve the lot of animals. However, I was so disgusted by what I saw that I left after 5 minutes - big cats pacing; they and other animals unnaturally quiet given the very close proximity... more

My wife and I have visited Serafin at The Ark every year for about five years and our visit is a "must" when we visit my brother in Alfaz every Spring. Serafin and his helpers do a fantastic job, and those who have written reviews to the contrary need to get a life - especially those "experts" who have just... more

In response to the small minority who have critised this place, please remember the following. This sanctuary is in a country with a fairly poor animal rights record. With a tiny amount of money and alot of (large) mouths to feed the team is doing a fantastic job. This is an amazing place to visit, but be prepared, it is... more

Visited thurs 26th July 2007, My mum lives in Alicante and we have had many visits to Guadalest but this day our curiosity led us to the animal sanctuary, I recommend that if you are in benidorm or guadalest, then you should visit Noahs Ark, and meet the man with a heart of gold, My partner nearly burst into tears... more

The highlight of my trip to Benidorm was my trip to El Arca. What a truly inpirational place, Serafin and his helpers are developing. Yes the animals were in small cages, but reading the signs there were no hard packed trackmarks that you get when animals are unhappy. The animals were all in good condition, with no self inflicted wounds... more
