A Pamplona standard. If you visit Pamplona, you will see it. It is just up Carlos III from the Plaza de Castillo about 70m. Lots of tourists taking pictures. You can be fined if you climb up on the sculpture. As long as you are there, I believe there is a small fairly non-descript marker in memory of one German... More

Beautiful monument, stunning statues, capturing the movement and the run beautifully. Piece of art! I saw in Basque Country several statues around featuring the "toro", beautiful! In January 2014, when we booked our Basque Country trip, we struggled to find sufficient information about the Running of the Bulls / San Fermin in Pamplona. Having been there from 5th till 7th... The monument is located right in the centre of town. As far as statue type monuments are concerned this is one of the best around.

The sculpture is very impressive as it is a life size depiction of the bulls and those that choose to run with them. I viewed the sculpture before my run, and there are all of the elements involved: the thrill, the danger, the sheer terror, and any other descriptive words you can mention. When viewing from the front you see... More

What a beautiful monument. We came to the San Fermin this year and felt as though it really captures the spirit alive in Pamplona and this crazy, age-old tradition.

The monument of San Fermin captures exactly what this city is about. Every year hundreds of thousands of people flock to the streets to celebrate the festival of San Fermin. You must check it out if your in the city

Fantastic representation of the Encierro. Pamplona's famous bull run. Captures the fear and excitement of an instant in time. You can walk the route of the run and imagine what it takes to run 400 metres with a hoard of wild bulls chasing you. Brilliant

Do not miss this when you are in Pamplona - when you get to the bull ring, look behind you and it is a few hundred yards directly behind the spectators entrance to the bullring. it is a fantastic sculpture to study and enjoy, so impressive, glad I didn't miss it. follow the bull run route too from the corillas... Wonderful life-sized (maybe a little larger than life size) representation of the running of the bulls. This is the closest you can come and not lose your breath! The sculpture is located in a beautiful square with many shops cafés and bars. Worth seeing well in Pamplona.
