This is a great day trip (for us from Larrasoana). The castle itself has been beautifully restored and, in autumn, had a lovely coat of multi-coloured leaves. Our kids (10, 8 and 6) enjoyed climbing multiple turrets and towers and the audio guide (only 1 euro) offered some interesting insights. The town, whilst small, was easy to access and walk... More

We stayed in Olite for one night on our drive from northern Spain to Barcelona. the castle sits in the middle of he historic section, beautifully restored, although none of the furnishings remain. There is an audio guide for the tour of the castle which is easy to use and vey informative, as it allows you to move at your... More

We came across Olite by accident after visiting Pamplona. The castle and old town which surrounds it, although not huge are both a lovely place to visit. The castle and old town are well restored. The castle has many rooms and towers and you can imagine in its day being very elaborately decorated. The views of the roof tops and... More

I lived in Pamplona for one year and visited this location once with my host family. It is beautiful! Feels like a Robin Hood castle. When I visited again this summer I took my family there. They have a beautiful hotel and yummy bars around the castle also. It was so unique!

Really nice tour of the castle of Olite. The place is very nice and the small town of Olite is one example of historical charming. The tour of the castle is nice with a very good and interesting audio guide. There are a lot if towers and stairs to climb, so be awared in case you have problems with that.... More

Olite is only about an hour on the bus from Pamplona, and well worth the visit. The palace is beautiful, and the models showing the restoration are extremely detailed and interesting. There are a lot of spiral staircases to climb into the various towers, so a great place to burn off some calories and enjoy the views. The turrets are... More

Now this is what comes to mind when you think of a palace. It is a very impressive building. Well worth a visit. The only shame is that there is nothing inside the rooms. Not decorations, furniture even information about what the room was. There are great views from the towers. If you like castles and palaces etc. you should... More

Impressive castle, no original furniture or paintings left but the visit is worth your while. You can climb up to all the towers and the castle is just beautiful. The small garden on the fisrt floor is very interesting, and their "fridge" too ;D I'd recommend anyone visiting Navarra not to miss Olite.

One of my favorite castles I've visited in Spain. Lots of passage ways, towers, stairways, great views of the surrounding city of Olite. I had a great time climbing to the tops of all the towers and enjoying the view. A great way to spend the afternoon.

We stayed for two days at this parador and very much enjoyed it. There is a nice quiet courtyward outside that you can get a glass of wine and read a book. The food at the restauarnt in the parador was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was very extensive. The entire stay was an unbeatable value. The staff was very... More
