The Zoo Aquarium de Madrid is a little off of the beaten path. I got the impression that it might be a little more popular with locals. A friend took me there, and I was really impressed! It is quite large and very entertaining. We got to see the dolphins performing! Wow! If you are looking to do something different... More

We spent nearly a whole day in the Zoo. So much to see, so many interesting animals, some of I had never seen before. We enjoyed the zoo very much, it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Madrid! We went to the zoo by metro, it was easy to go. We had to walk a bit... More

I visited this zoo with my son last summer and it was his one request to do again this year. It is one of the shadiest and well kept zoos I have visited in any country. The animals seam to be doing well, there are plenty of animal keepers constantly caring for them and there is a great variety. We... More

We went here as we were in Madrid & glad we did. It's a great way to spend a few hours and the aquarium is good. Also there is a theme park nearby & also the cable cars that take you towards the palace... Lots of open area to maybe have a picnic... Lots to do around this area.

This zoo was bad from the start. We were greeted at the ticket desk by a very rude lady who looked as if she would rather be anywhere else all while she took 23 euros each to get in. As soon as we were through the gates everything was shut and this was at 12 noon in July! The animal... More

Comparing this zoo to London Rome I have to say it's the best . The mix of zoo and aquarium is just lovely. Nice shows I especially loved the panda bears and the mongoose enclosure where your actually inside there habitat. The staff were very friendly . We were completely surprised when we arrived here the animals are so close you can interact when staff say it is safe to do so. There is a train ride for a little extra euro's for those who can't face the walk in the heat. A lovely gift shop. A fantastic cafe. Clean toilets what more could we want. Quite... More

Best and biggest zoo we have seen. In saying a great day out- I really do mean a day is required to enjoy all the animals and events the zoo has to offer. A short walk from the local metro- approx 10 minutes- it is easy to find and very well sign posted. We did find the walk took longer... More
