We took the cable car over to where the zoo was and it is about a 15 min walk downhill from the cable car to the zoo. It cost €35.00 for entry to the zoo including the cable car, we also hired a golf cart to drive around the zoo as we were short on time and this was also... More

Prices range at around 21 euros per person, but are cheaper bought in advance on the website. There are daily dolphin exhibitions, exotic birds and other animal exhibitions as well as animal talks. All animals have enough space, seriously. If you compare it to other zoos it's just about the same. The variety of animals here are very large. You... More

It started out a bit rough, as the zoo is in the Casa de Campo area, and the Teleferico (cable car) leads to just this area, we expected some signs (or at least someone to help us) at the end of the ride. Not so. Ended up with a hike through the wood, hot, but nice enough. Took us a... More

Dear visitor, the public transport is a great treat to get to Madrid Zoo Aquarium, both metro line 10, which stops only 900 meters away from the park or 33 bus line, which stops at the main gate of the park. We recommend to purchase online in advance to get discounts of more than 25 % in the general ticket... More

I first visited Madrid zoo in 1975 when I was struck by the absence of cages and bars, unusual in those days. I have been back several times since and it's a lovely place to visit. There's always lots going on and lots to see. It's much more than just a collection of animals and it's an attractive and well... More

Anyone who thinks this is a good zoo has not got a good comparison to make, there are FAR better. The enclosures are horrible, concrete everywhere, most of the land is reserved for humans not for the animals. The animals look unhealthy, and dirty. This really is a bad example of a zoo. Depressing.

Excellent collection of animals in spacious enclosures with vegetation. Spacious grounds were well kept and pathways of excellent standard. Catch bus from subway station - cheap. We walked down to zoo - nice walk, but felt too tired to walk back up hill, so caught bus. Panda exhibit was excellent. Both were pretty active, and the set out accommodated adults... More

I had a super day out in this zoo, the collection of animals was top class with almost every animal you expect to see in a city zoo: elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, bears, lions, dolphins, koalas, even giant otters and pandas. The pandas had a small baby which was amazing to see, when it was playing around. Food was a... More

The biggest zoo i have ever been , has mostly all important animals , the dolphin show is the best , what i did not like is that we went on wednesday and almost all restaurants were closed and the map was on spanish but overall the zoo and the aquarium was great

We regret the inconvenient kiosk about restaurants. Throughout the park, there are different restaurants with a wide variety of options. When you start the tour, we recommend consulting all schedules in information point or main coffee shop. On the other hand, at the entrance to the park, we provide a map in Spanish and English with exhibitions, interactions and photos... More

Even though we visited the zoo on a lovely busy Sunday and there were lots of people, the zoo didn't feel full. The architecture is spacious and there is lots of room to walk, lounge or eat something. Another plus was that there were lots of toilets available, a sometimes neglected facility The animals have roaming space and there is... More

We had a lovely day here today. A very good selection of animals in some lovely, spacious and fun enclosures. A great range of displays, talks and experiences. A bit pricey but worth it if you want a good day out.
