I had a wonderful time at the Pubcrawl. As a single travelling lady, I enjoyed getting to know different people and the bars we stopped at were great! My tour guide Jose was awesome too! He knew a lot about the city and its people and was very kind to us all.

The walking tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours and our guide Jenna paced the tour well. Jenna was very knowledgeable about the history of the places and made each stops interesting. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Madrid and Jenna rocked it!

The walking tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours but the tour guide Fernando paced it very well and made sure that we had places to sit when he gave us the background and history of the places of interest; so that we didn't feel tired or realised how much ground we have covered. He was very informative and entertaining and... More

I really appreciated the pub crawl and the organizers handle their people with a lot of verve and charism. The progress of the expedition was just what we needed to have a wonderful night partying in the city.

City walking tour and pub crawl are the best way to explore the city day & night with a cool guide (thanks to Silvia) and other enthusiastic people in the group. It was very fun day. Silvia has a major role on that with her energy and positiveness. One thing I need to add - Some people did not leave... More

I had been to Madrid several times but never took the time to really get to know the city until I took a walking tour with Madride. The guide spoke excellent English and eloquently explained Madrid traditions, history and landmarks. She was also very entertaining and very well prepared for any questions we asked. The tour takes approximately three hours... More

Silvia was an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the city. The tour was very interesting and interactive with lots of questions and answers and Silvia even created a bit of competition between the other tourists. Silvia was also knowledgeable about other events in Madrid and recommends some other restaurants that were decent to eat at. Great tour... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
