I spend an awesome night with friends in Madrid, staff is very cool... Silvia, the tour guide, did an excellent job! The crawl takes place in the heart of Madrid close to Sol, where there are all the pubs and clubs, girls are hot and guys funny. I had a really great time!

Did the walking tour and flamenco night(bonus pub crawl) with Madride. Walking tour was a nice way to start the visit to Madrid. Their flamenco/tapas combo is pretty good and reasonably priced. Add the pub-crawl into the mix, you have got yourself a blast. All the guides, Stefan, Teresa, Mary and Sylvia, were great and fun! Definitely recommend them for... More

The walking your and the pun crawl were both a great way to explore Madrid and worth every minute of your time. A great way to learn about the town, the history and culture all on a low budget

Had an splendid Madrid free walking tour with Anastsia. Even though not born in Spain she had a great knowledge of the city and were extremely pleasant. Highly recommended. A great way to get to know the city.

Teresa (?sp) was our guide for Tapas and Flamenco tour. Really good value - usually the flamenco alone would cost almost as much as the total tour. She knows her history too, great advert for her company and Madrid. Pubcrawl - well mostly 18-28 year olds but was great fun and value. Enjoyed it even if a fair bit older... More

I really enjoyed the time I spent with Madride! I did the Flamenco/Tapas night, the walking tour, and I pubcrawled for 3-4 nights. Silvia was SO much fun and took a ton of photos, which I appreciated!! We went to some different bars every night and it was easily the most fun I had on my month in Europe. My... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
