wow what a great 9 hours. This tour was one of the best We have taken. there was only a very small group which made it so much more enjoyable. At the most they never take more than 20, Both places there were very little crowds so again very pleasant

A Madrid Sightseeing, Prado booked through Julia travel. You start your tour on the air conditioned motor coach, with an English speaking guide. The tour includes a sightseeing tour (via bus), entrance to Prado Museum, as well as a free soft drink at Hard Rock Café. If you are an Art nut then the Prado Museum will be right up... More

Took the Julia Tours Day tour to Toledo with traditional lunch - Great day - Excellant guide who knew her stuff and made it a very interesting and informative day - we paid for the traditional meal and it was excellent value! Great food and lots of it!

Aware if the long queues to see La Sagrada Familia we searched the web to book some tickets. On Viator.com we came across the solution or so we thought. Turning up on the day at the agreed time, we could NOT gain entry to the Basilica, skip the queues and walk straight in as we were supposed to have arrived... More

I took the 4 day Andalusia trip (Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Toledo) and it was a blast. For a short trip, to be able to see so much was extraordinary. Of course, a return visit in more depth would be a pleasure, but this is a great choice if you're only spending a week in Spain. The guides were excellent and... More

We booked the Avila and Segovia tour. This was a big mistake. The tour had 48 people on it! The guide spoke in English, Spanish and Italian but he jumped from one language to the next so much, that it felt like an incomplete story. Very little time spent in Avila and my biggest disappointment was that we didn't stop... More

Madrid sightseeing tour and Prado museum. This tour was about 4.30 hours in a clean AC coach. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about her job which was motivating. Definitely do these tours in summer in the mornings as afternoons are very hot. Jennie H

This was a waste of money in my opinion. I was unfortunate enough to book two tours neither of which were made memorable by Julia travel. First off we went on the sight seeing tour followed by a trip to the Bernabeu. The site seeing tour was simply a drive around the city with the tour guide speaking mostly Spanish... More

Did two day trips with Julia Travel. One to El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen with guide Isabel. Another to Segovia and Pedraza with Marta. What a different experience. The tours were both well organized and comprehensive, but Isabel was grumpy, unapproachable, and thoroughly disengaged from the group she was guiding. It felt like she had either lost her... More

This tour started in Madrid. Tour guide Joseph was a laugh and gave his best. Pity he didn't stay with us. We changed buses and tour guides at Trujillo for the Portugal leg. Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
