We booked the custom 2 hour option for the Prado tour because we have two very different children ages 8 and 11 and couldn't decide on the other options. There was some difficulty in the days before confirming the time - not sure why this was an issue with Madrid Museum Tours - that was the only negative. We met... More

We had already visited many sites on our own, but Hernan Satt guided us to beautiful, instructive and uncrowded sectors of Madrid during a full-day tour. The pace was relaxed, but conversations, about art, culture, history, and contemporary Madrid never slowed -- there was too much to learn about, from Sr. Satt and his many friends around the city, some... There a number of ways to judge a great tour guide. -They should be passionate about the subject. -They should be able to determine the specific interests of the family and adjust the tour accordingly -They should show you things you would not have seen had they not showed you. Irina met all of these criteria. She showed us Las... More

Our family of 4 spent the day with Hernan. I highly recommend this company and their tours. At the Prado, Hernan had a way of really engaging my kids (ages 16&20) who know very little about art. They listened to his every word and inevitably won the contest between kids and adults that Hernan devised. Hernan then drove us to... More

A private tour meant for the kids, but that even the most well-informed art historians in the group found engaging and insightful. The Prado is one of the world's greatest museums and collections, but also incredibly accessible and intimate. Our tour guide Irina had a breathtaking command of every exhibit and its history, and kept our 9 year old kids... More

We have 4 boys ages 13 - 20, and Herman amazingly kept them engaged, learning and attentive for our 7 hour tour. He was definitley one of my favorite private tour guides as far as engaging the teenagers as well as the adults. He constantly checked in about the pace of the tour and suggested modifications if we were interested.... More

Hernan Satt is the best! We were a group of three, and he understood that although we had only one day, he did his best to show us all of the very best of Madrid. He was able to improvise on the spot when the Royal Palace was closed (without notice to his company, of course), and to the interests... More
