What a fun way to discover the city! I have been travelling to Madrid on a regular basis for the last 10 years, and have done segways, hot air ballooning, fast cars, all of it in Madrid but must say this is one of my favourites !! I also discovered new parts of Madrid I had never passed from :)... More

I just love sightseeing in the GoCars. This was the second time I've tried it (first time in Lisboa). I loved it, even though I broke the front light. OOPS! Remember insurance - it only costs 10 euros :)

We wanted to see, feel and experience a sightseeing in a completely different way and found it with Gocar. At your own pace and very unique. They reacted quickly when a GPS navigation broke down. I would recommend it!

What a brilliant way to see the city. We received excellent customer service both from Oscar and the lovely lady interning. Prepare to get lost! - We found the navigation could have been better, there was times where we were unsure of where to go, this added to the fun, but you have to be confident to drive in Madrid... Great concept and fun experience - unfortunately we had some difficulties. We had to wait 45 minutes for the cars, even though we had our departure time confirmed. One car did not work at the beginning, another broke down halfway. We booked 4 hours, but only managed to drive about 2; at the end, all the smoke and smog is... More

Absolutely brilliant!! I can't understand why this doesn't feature higher in things to do. We were the only booking they had last Saturday, yet everywhere we went, people were stopping to ask us how we hired them. The GPS was so clever, talking to you through your tour and picking up where you were or telling you if you'd gone... More

Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
