Fantastic introduction to Madrid. We all enjoyed Sebastian's tour commentary. He had great local knowledge and was very entertaining especially for our teenage kids.

the madrid extended tour was great. the extra hour makes a huge difference in what you see, especially riding along the river. the guide was amazing, very knowledgeable. we were given lunch at a lovely tapas bar as well. the great part about this tour is you are sent an email after the bike ride with a link to all... A very relaxing and comfortable way to get to know Madrid. The guide was lovely and very attentive in his aim to show us the city, gave us a lot of interesting information as well as more personal view on things. So valuable! Good activity for families! Can highly recommend this! Nice with the photos you get afterwards.

Many thanks for your kind comment and strong recommendation. Yes, we do love to entertain families, which is why we own a variety of bicycles, including E.bikes, children’s bikes, children’s seats and even a tandem. We have had as many as three generations on a bike tour. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. With best regards The Bravo... More

This is my second time to Madrid and this is the best way to get a perspective of the city. The ride is easy with minimal road riding, and when you do the bike paths are good. The tour takes you from one side of Central Madrid to the other with frequent stops along the way. The bikes are well... More

Many thanks for your glowing commentary and strong recommendation. Your kind words about our tour guides are particularly well received. Indeed, Madrid was not always considered a particularly cycling-friendly city, but in the 16 years we have been doing these tours, Bravo Bike has battled to get cycling lanes introduced, as well as designating priority for cyclists on a large... My friend and I have travelled around Europe and have been on bike tours before so we thought, ‘we’re going to Madrid, we might as well do a bike tour’. I looked for reviews online and having read quite a few, Bravo Bikes stood out as ‘the bike tour to do in Madrid’ so we thought we’d give them a... More

We are delighted that the tour met, if not surpassed your expectations in every respect, and thank you so much for your glowing comments about two of our principal guides, Hanneke and Kaspar. And what is additionally gratifying is that you enjoyed the company of the other folk taking the tour. We do find that these tours are a great... More

Perhaps it was our mistake to take a bike tour on our last day in Madrid, but overall we found this tour pleasant though not particularly memorable. Bravo was quite organized, the bikes were in reasonably good working order and our guide kept the group together well. However, in general we found ourselves simply pedaling from landmark to landmark, taking... More

Thanks for your constructive comment. Indeed we do recommend that clients do this tour at the beginning of their visit to Madrid. We do our best to make the content of the commentaries as relevant as possible to the interests of a wide group of participants. But please do remember that we offer this tour as a private tour (minimum... More

If you ever want to see a city on a bike, then use Bravo Bikes. Kaspar, the owner, is the nicest person you only ever wish to meet. Pleasant, knowledgable and very friendly. What he doesn't know about Madrid, just isn't worth knowing. Knows all the streets. You go at a very steady pace and it really gives you a... More

Did this tour around end of July 2015. Amazing way to see the city. Casper was great explaining details about various sites. He provided a bottle of water before the biking began. It was extremely useful for a hot Spanish July morning. If you plan to do this during summer, make sure you do the morning tour before it gets... More

We had a great tour of Madrid last Thursday with Sebastian as our guide. we are a family of four with two boys ages 11 and 15 and the biking was perfect - even in the heat. Sebastian was wonderful - very knowledgeable and relaxed and fun in his style. The biking was a bit crazy thru the streets but... More

Best tour in Madrid!” (no. 499) We are delighted you enjoyed the tour and had a great time in spite of the heat. Hopefully you found enough shade in the Parque de Retiro to compensate. We’ve done these bike tours now for almost 17 years, and have worked hard to get Madrid to be a more cycling-friendly city, so now... More

Had a great time with Bravo Bikes. We flew in from US on Monday and booked the Madrid city trip for Tuesday morning for 2 reasons - to get a good overview of the city before heading out on our own, and to make us wake up early !! It was a very hot day (100 F +) so I... More

Many thanks for your thorough review and very enthusiastic recommendation. Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
