Best start to the trip we could have asked for - we felt at home in Madrid after cycling through the streets and knew exactly which neighborhoods we wanted to explore further / how we wanted to spend the remainder of our trip. We hit so many of the must-see stops (efficiency!) and also has a wonderful guide who made... More

My husband and I (early 60's) loved touring the city on bike. It afforded the opportunity to get around easily (despite the heavy traffic) and see the best sites. We got a good understanding of the different areas, historical sites, restaurants, parks, etc. Our guide, Sebastian, was superb and we felt very comfortable has he led us through high traffic... Thanks for taking the time to comment so glowingly about your Bravo Bike City Tour. It was a great pleasure to have you join us, and we are pleased that you were entirely comfortable with our guide Sebastien. Madrid has not always been considered a cycling-friendly city, but we at Bravo Bike, doing these tours now for 16 years, have... More

It was me and my husbands first time in Madrid and we thought the best way to understand the city was to take a bike tour. Our guide was FANTASTIC - he was knowledgeable and funny. There was a perfect mixture of comedy and history in the tour guide's description of the sites we saw. I can't believe we were... More

Many thanks for your kind comment and most enthusiastic review of you Bravo Bike City Tour. We are delighted that the tour met your expectations in every respect, even to the detail of visiting the Convento de las Carboneras del Corpus Christi to buy cookies baked by the nuns who live there. Madrid has all sorts of little secrets like... More

The Bravo Bike tour was a perfect way to see Madrid. We were able to cover a lot of ground, all of the key landmarks, but also able to navigate the cobblestone streets, charming shopping alleys and plazas that a bus tour wouldn't be able to manage. Our guide Sebastien was wonderful. He pointed out his favorite, off the beaten-path... More

I booked the three hour city bike tour for myself and my 25 year old daughter on our first day in Madrid as we have done bike tours together in the past and have always found it a good way to see somewhere and get some exercise at the same time! However upon arriving in Madrid I did wonder if... More

Many thanks for your kind and detailed commentary. We are so pleased that in spite of your first misgivings, your Bravo Bike Tour met your expectations, and you enjoyed Hanneke’s company. Just a couple of things to be aware of: for “senior” clients who might be concerned at the few small inclines on the tour, we do have some excellent... More

Awesome easy going tour of the city. Sebastian was a fantastic guide and a true asset to Madrid's tourism industry. He is very passionate and informative about every stop. The tour was easy with very few small hill climbs. We had an electric bike that made it a breeze but not necessary to have an enjoyable time. Highly recommended to... More

My parner and I were looking for a different way to visit the city. We found bravobike. We were so glad we did it. It was a great tour of the city and Sebastien, our guide, was very cool and knowledgeable. He gave us very good tips and he paid our drinks. I'd strongly raccomand this tour.

Many thanks for your kind review and strong recommendation. Indeed you get to see so many more sights on our 3-hour bike tour, than you would if you were doing a walking tour or a bus tour. Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
