Bravo Bike now enters its 15th successful year in providing high quality Madrid City cycling tours with E.BIKES as well as regular bikes. Our range covers our most popular classic and private 3 1/2 hour sightseeing tours as well as our Casa de Campo (nature) and our Full Day City Tour (incorporating the Soccer stadiums). Further afield, we are professionals at organizing one-day excursions to the outlying cities such as Segovia, El Escorial, Avila, Aranjuez and Toledo. For those with more time to spend discovering all that is fabulous in Spain, we have multi-day guided and self-guided cycling tours along the Camino de Santiago Pilgrim's Trail, and in the regions around Madrid as well as through Spain's wine regions and along other historic and regional trails. Bravo Bike is a fully licensed Madrid-based travel agency.

We had a great tour of Madrid last Thursday with Sebastian as our guide. we are a family of four with two boys ages 11 and 15 and the biking was perfect - even in the heat. Sebastian was wonderful - very knowledgeable and relaxed and fun in his style. The biking was a bit crazy thru the streets but... More

Best tour in Madrid!” (no. 499) We are delighted you enjoyed the tour and had a great time in spite of the heat. Hopefully you found enough shade in the Parque de Retiro to compensate. We’ve done these bike tours now for almost 17 years, and have worked hard to get Madrid to be a more cycling-friendly city, so now... More

Had a great time with Bravo Bikes. We flew in from US on Monday and booked the Madrid city trip for Tuesday morning for 2 reasons - to get a good overview of the city before heading out on our own, and to make us wake up early !! It was a very hot day (100 F +) so I... More

Many thanks for your thorough review and very enthusiastic recommendation. We’re pleased that Bravo Bike introduced you to the comfort and convenience of the e-bike and you found your first experience rewarding. We can control pretty much everything on our bike tours, but one thing which is beyond our control is the weather and the temperatures. The few gentle ascents... More

I loved seeing the (old) city on this bike tour. We started in a park that gave one an overview of the city below and the palace. The rest of the trip was perfect for orienting one to the city and its sites. They even paid for a nice coffee break in the late morning. I appreciated that they snapped... More

We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and it fully met your expectations. Hopefully you will see fit to return at some point. If you like old cities, we can offer you our one-day cycling excursions to the outlying cities of Segovia, Aranjuez, El Escorial or Toledo. Thank you so much for your strong recommendation. With best regards, The Bravo Bike... More

Friendly guides who gave a great overview of a fantastic city. An early tour is still cool enough to manage and both children and adults alike were on our tour and everyone managed fine. Refreshments also provided on route. Good tips for places to revisit after so a good first day activity. Would recommend to anyone visiting !adrid for the... More

Many thanks for your kind review and recommendation. Yes: on a bike tour you really get around to see the main sites in much less time than if you were walking or hopping on and off a tourist bus. At this time of year the temperatures in Madrid are on the high side, so the earlier you can take the... More

Took the Madrid City Tour solo in late April 2015. The bikes were in good condition and the guides made sure they fit and were comfortable. I was paired up with a few other groups that included native French, Norwegian, and English speakers. Sebastian was able to easily give the tour in both English and French. He was very friendly... Many thanks for your kind and complimentary review of our tour. For Bravo Bike it is gratifying that our tours are a platform for socializing on a really international scale. Bike tours are a great way to see a city, unlike buses you can go through parks and get up close to the attractions. It's a great way to see a city, get your bearings so you can go around and do the attractions later. Doing it with a group gives you a bit of confidence cycling in a busy... More

Many thanks for your kind comment and praise for our tour as an “excellent attraction”. The concourse in front of the Reina Sofia Modern Art Museum could be inviting to the cyclist tempted to do some acrobatics, but of course we advise against this. If something untoward happens on a Bravo Bike tour, our guides are trained to put the... More

Madrid is not the most inspiring city, but this tour does a good job giving the active tourist a good perspective. Our guide was knowledgeable and likable.

Thanks for your comment. Well: many would take issue with Madrid “not being the most inspiring city”. We see one commentator coming only six days after yours referring to Madrid as a “fantastic city”. It is all relative and depends on what your perspective is. At least we can offer you a climate here very similar to California’s. If we... More

Can you ride a bike? If so, do this tour. We took 21 people and spent 3 hours. Guide Sebastian was knowledgeable, insightful, and humorous. Bikes were well maintained. We are very pleased everything on the tour lived up to your expectations. Hopefully you will see fit to return to Spain soon, so we can show you... More

We had a lovely morning cycling with Sebastian, he was an excellent guide. Thanks very much for your constructive commentary and suggestion. This is why we in addition offer the Madrid city cycling tour as a private tour for closed groups, such... More

Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
