Bike tours are a great way to see a city, unlike buses you can go through parks and get up close to the attractions. It's a great way to see a city, get your bearings so you can go around and do the attractions later. Doing it with a group gives you a bit of confidence cycling in a busy... More

Madrid is not the most inspiring city, but this tour does a good job giving the active tourist a good perspective. Our guide was knowledgeable and likable.

Can you ride a bike? If so, do this tour. We took 21 people and spent 3 hours. Guide Sebastian was knowledgeable, insightful, and humorous. Bikes were well maintained. Provided water plus a stop for drink ( included ) in shady terrace in retire park. Madrid is becoming bike friendly. Easy to navigate and not difficult pace. This is the... More

We had a lovely morning cycling with Sebastian, he was an excellent guide. We covered quite a bit of the city and Sebastian provided excellent commentary about Spain, Madrid, the culture, the people and history. We probably spent a little too long at the drink break (included in the fee), although it was good to chat to the others in... More

Thanks very much for your constructive commentary and suggestion. It is true that in the high season with strong demand for our tours we have to configure the groups on our regular city tours to the best of our resources. This is why we in addition offer the Madrid city cycling tour as a private tour for closed groups, such... More

My wife and I had a tour on May 27th with guide Alfonso and 4 other individuals...2 from NYC and 2 from Sweden. We got a great overview of the city during the course of our 4+ hour tour. We also did a bike tour in Barcelona last year and love this avenue for seeing new cities. Thanks for the... More

...and he was great. This tour circled the city and took us to the palace, Paseo del Prato, the Author's Way street and more. We had cyclists of all ages, and it was easy enough to keep up with Casper without feeling we had to work too hard, or go too slow. This was an excellent introduction to Madrid, highly... More

Fabulous tour! The perfect way to spend your first day (or any day) in Madrid. Hannika was a great guide- she taught us a lot about the city and showed us not only the major sights, but some less known gems that other tourists don't see. I arrived the day before and was a bit confused as to where everything... More

Many thanks, dear Californians, for your glowing commentary and recommendation. You’re right: the joy of cycling unites folk of different nationalities, ages and cultures. That’s just what makes it such a rewarding business. And we’re so glad you had enough time during your stay to apply the orientation which the tour provided you. We would love to have you back... We had a really great tour of Madrid with Bravo Bike. Monica greeted us with a smile and fitted us up with our bikes, then we took the tour with Sebastien. Sebastian's knowledge was excellent and he was a good laugh. The pace of the tour was good and once we finished we had the confidence to go and rent... More

Many thanks for your kind commentary. Indeed Madrid has not always been viewed as a cycling friendly city, but we have worked hard over the past 16 years to get it more adapted to cycling. Hanneke was the guide who greeted you. Please also be aware that Bravo Bike also rents out bikes for just that situation you faced: you... More

A big thank you to Sebastian who managed to corral a rather large group through the streets of Madrid imparting his love of history and the Spanish culture without losing a single tourist. Quite a feat. The ride was fairly easy with well spaced stops. He offered enough of an overview to create interest while keeping the group moving- we... More

Many thanks for your glowing commentary and enthusiasm for our tour. If the tour guide keeps the group interested and entertained, then the group will stay together, and that makes managing the tour much easier. Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
