The main attraction of this church is undoubtedly the famous statue outside. You have join in with everyone else looking at the rather enormous bits of the horse, but to be honest, once you've seen that, the rest of the church isn't that interesting. This is the church that a lot of the pilgrims start out from on the "Santiago Walk".The church is beautiful inside and out. Close to the church is the pilgrims fountain where they stop for water and rest on their journey. A close friend went on this journey while we were in Logrono Spain in March of this year. She... This 16th. c. church in the transitional style between Gothic and Renaissance has an immense Gothic vault over a unified space. The Camino de Santiago passes just outside the church, so it is of course a compulsory stop for any pilgrim. It is definitely worth a visit, and it doesn´t take long.

This church is dedicated to St. James, the patron saint of Spain. People walking the Way of St. James always stop in this church to pray. The equestrian statue of St. James on the main facade is quite impressive. Inside the church, it is quite simple, but the main altarpiece is also impressive.
